Based on what I've read about this, the whole "one computer has illegal music on it, EVERYTHING GOES" deal also either breaks or at least bends the Fourth Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

I am not claiming this is the exact way that the lawmakers look at it, but a fairly simple explanation why this doesn't break the Fourth is that the first device with illegal music is going to be discovered via a warranted search, which then gives probable cause to search the rest of the devices. I am pretty sure this law is constitutionally sound.

And if not, it's not like it's the first time we've ever seen an unconstitutional law.

Alright I'm going to say this now, can we not turn this thread into USA vs <other country here> because seriously, It is what it is, and comparing the USA to another country isn't going to fix or help anything.
