Problems with windows update?

So a few days ago I reinstalled windows xp on my laptop and now everytime I shutdown, I keep getting this picture.



So I hit the middle button and it installs 2 updates. The problem is that it does this during every shutdown. I tried googling for a few hrs to find a solution but came up empty. So anyone here knows whats going on?

Check your updates before you turn it off and see if they're different. You reformatted so there might be a lot of things installing, though I would think it would be done by now.

Depending on what your XP install was at (SP2 I would hope) when you did the reinstall, there's a lot of windows updates that build on top of each other. So it could be that it's just doing catch up and doing the installs and updates in order.

I guess worry about it if it's still doing that in, a week if you shut down every day.

As they said, it's probably different updates installing. Go to windowsupdate.com and run them manually.
