Default Razer Copperhead (and customer service) problem

So I've had this Razer Copperhead mouse for a while now and it's worked great, but recently it started not registering clicks sometimes and registering multiple clicks other times, which makes gaming and all-around computer usage significantly more difficult. So I called tech support and they gave me an RMA number, but they want me to ship the mouse to them and wait two weeks for them to ship me a replacement one, during which time I would have no mouse at all because my Copperhead has worked so well that I can't use other mice anymore, and I trashed all my old ones. So pretty much, I wrote back a very long, detailed letter about my status as a long-time customer of theirs and my inability to use my computer which I need for work, and requested that they offer me an alternative method which would allow me to have a mouse to use during the process. Unluckily for me, my support ticket seems to be handled by the same guy every time, and he's foreign, and his emails use worse grammar than Borat, so he probably doesn't understand English too well, and he just emailed me back and told me to mail them my mouse.

Advice?

Ask around for a spare mouse? Seriously my dad has like 7 in his desk from work, old HP/Dell mice that came with the computer, etc. HP ball mice really aren't that bad. D: Also I'm assuming you purchased the mouse online...? If you didn't, take it up to wherever you bought the mouse from, maybe they can do something for you. I hate Razer-brand products and pretty much stick with SteelSeries, but doesn't Razer have a customer support line? Talking to someone is better than cybering with Borat over emails.

Also worst case... you can pretty much do everything a mouse can with arrow keys and enter. :X

Yeah but the thing is, with another mouse or the arrow keys, the mouse moves so slow. I'm used to 2000 dpi, max mouse speed.

I don't even see why people need 2000DPI unless you're trying to play 1000x1000 Minesweeper on a 2 inch monitor. Honestly, you should put tracking before DPI, anyway. I heard the Copperhead skips a lot when it comes down to fast movements because of the negative acceleration. I highly doubt using an old mouse is any less slower than your Copperhead other than one swipe maybe taking two. Either way the initial conflict was that you needed a mouse to do work, not to do work in X amount of minutes/hours.

Call and demand to speak to a manager. *shrugs*

Or get a Logitech G5. I prefer the feel of it over the Razer.

Mine has never skipped. Using any other mouse just doesn't feel right anymore. G5's are alright, but it's kinda weird once you're used to the Razer.

Have you tried fast, sporadic movements? :/ Everyone says they skip.

But yeah, get the G5 if you really need that 2000DPI. The new G5 has the two thumb buttons again so it's nice. I honestly don't see why you need a mouse that sensitive, but whatever floats your boat. If you want a mouse with insane tracking and is extremely comfortable, get the IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. They re-released it just recently and it's fucking amazing. Feels kinda cheap at first but then it feels are soft and awesome.

Yes, all the time. I have like this a.d.d. where I can't keep focus on things, so while I'm playing games sometimes I start shaking the mouse as fast as I can, just to watch it track it.

I'll add that I do use a layered mousepad. I did notice it skipped a bit with those shitty mousepads that come with the computer.
