As far as I know, you'll have a hard time getting a program that will only put a watermark on the image. The same for a program that will give you full control, but for 30 days or something. Most, if not all, free/trial versions will either only record for 30 seconds at a time, make the video extremely small and poor quality, or will slap a watermark in the centre so big, you can't see what's behind it. Some will have a combination of all three.
However if anyone else can suggest something, I'm also looking for something similar. Have you considered just paying $37 for the full version of FRAPS?
