Default video capturing via game system?

ok, my friend knows I am good with montages, and making videos on my computer. He loves HALO 2, and may go MLG (He almosy won at EGL, but he lost). Anyways, he wants me to help him make montages by ripping audio/video threw his XBOX360. I Used to know how to do this... sadly I forgot. I know the device hooks up from an output on your T.V. to your Computer, but theres more to it then that, I dont even know what that is called, not to mention, I dont have a clue how to capture video like that.

Can some of you help me and my friend out?

TV Tuner. Split the AV signal, run one end to a Computer and the other end to a TV.

The Hauppague PVR150 is the greatest capture card out there for the enthusiast.

Its like, 70 bucks on newegg
has two Composite Inputs, one svideo, and 1 cable. Comes with a Remote. Has built in Mpeg 2 encoder. Very good card for Very few dollars for the quality.
