First of all: My Computer Specs
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (At least it's better than my old P4 3.0)
1 GB DDR2 Ram
ATI Radeon X800 XL
2x 80 GB Hard Drives
The install was nice. Even with the chipset that only came out last month, I didn't have to install a single driver. Everything was found. The install was close to 1/2 an hour. I haven't had any lag at all. I guess that problem comes with time, though. I'm half tempted to stick with Vista and just wait for that update that takes it from RC1 to the final release. I haven't tried to install the Adobe CS2 Suite yet, but that would be the only thing stopping me.
Windows Photo Gallery is awesome. I love it a million times better than the old windows picture viewer. Tagging and organizing collections is so easy and fast now. And I love all of the options you can have with making a slideshow out of it.
Aero makes Windows XP look like crap. My only concern with Aero is that it might give games a performance hit, but I don't know if it actually will or not cause I haven't played any video-card intense games on Vista yet.
Windows sidebar wasn't half as impressive as I thought it would be last year, but I guess it's acceptable. At least it's a free ObjectDock.
So, I'm going to keep on playing around with it. It should be stable enough by now that I might go ahead and use it as my main OS.
