Koreru, my current web host, is shutting down next month. Before then, I need to find a new shared hosting server. I'm looking for one with all of the following: - PHP 5 and MySQL 4 support
- PHP safe mode disabled at all times
- Cron job support
- At least 5 GB of space
- Payment through PayPal
- At least one parked domain
- At least three subdomains
- At least four e-mail addresses
- Monthly payments, no prepaying yearly or anything
- No setup fee
- Allow adult content
- Linux environment
- Shell access (optional)
The top three items are the most important as the most important segments of my site depend on them. I tried NearlyFreeSpeech but I decided not to stick with them since they keep safe mode enabled all the time. I'm looking to spend less than $10 monthly but I want to hear any suggestions you have. I would like to have a definitive answer before 2 April, as the servers will shut down completely the day after.
[Edit]I did a little shopping around and currently I'm liking Gold Rush and Gogax. Is there anything I should know about them?

And after consulting with an expert I'm told to stay away from it. Gogax claims to not oversell, which is apparently a good thing in the long-run.
[Edit] Big Blue Host seems to be solid if the customer reviews are to be believed.
[Edit]Apparently they don't do adult hosting anymore so that's out.

I'm with Slicehost and they are quite nice. If you're willing to use the shell, they're totally worth it IMO.

That does seem very nice and provides far more control than anything I've ever seen in the way of hosting. I would definitely give it a whirl whenever it becomes possible for me to justify $20 monthly for anything.

HostGator seems to be a nice place, even if they admit to overselling. They at least have a rather active support forum with every question I have already answered.
