Default What VGA cables to get.

So I'm going to convert my desktop computer into an HTPC while I'm going to school to save rather than paying for cable. I have a 32" Insignia 60hz 1080p TV with a VGA input. Now I'm having issues finding what cables I want to buy to hook the computer to the tv. I've been looking at these
Amazon.com: Cables Unlimited PCM-2240-15 SVGA Cable With 3.5mm Male to Male Audio (15 Feet, Black): Electronics
and these
Amazon.com: HD15 (SVGA) Male + 3.5 Stereo Male / HD15 (SVGA) Male + 3.5 Stereo Male, 10 ft: Electronics

The PC is using some old ATI Radeon card if you need the exact model I can fire up the PC tomorrow and find out exactly what it has, but will it really matter if it's an old card and what resolution am I supposed to run this in? Any other things I should know about running an HTPC?

Either of those will work fine at that length unless you live in an electromagnetic Fuckery, then you'll need something better. Golden Rule of Cabling: Try the cheap shit first, doesn't work go midrange, doesn't work then go high end. If that doesn't work, change your signaling.

Cheap shit first it is then, I know s-video only has a max res of 1024x768 so I assume VGA/SVGA has a much higher max res?

Wrong. Svideo has a max res of 480i, which is actually 640x240. Your video card (most do this) downscales a 1024x768 image to a really low resolution and lets the natural blurriness of interlaced pictures handle it.
