Windows Live problem

ok I a, currently signed into XBOX LIVE at my friends house because we could not finish the endless setlist tonight, and I came home today wanting to play gears of war but I dont know if the XBOX will sign me out if I go online on my computer. Does anyone know if it will?

Question: Your Xbox Live username/email/whatever is the same as your "regular" Messnger one?
If it isn't, I don't see why you'd be signed out.
