XP SP3 supposedly out April 21

I heard that 5511 was out on the 4th, and they have RC2 refresh for SP3 on Microsoft's site...it's likely going to be out this next week at this rate.

It'll probably be of better support than SP1 will be for Vista. :\

SP3 will be out April 29th.

I'm really not sure what SP3 will support, but if it's honestly no big deal, I'll update.

SP3 is not going to really do much for anyone with an existing working computer running XP SP2 thats fully updated as of... today.

What SP3 is going to do, is make updating Windows XP from nothing to now, a 1 hour job, instead of a 6 hour job.

Reportedly MS may stop selling XP starting to July and just let stores sell the remaining stock till it runs out.

I'm guessing the next batches of the Win XP Professional installation disc (legal) will come bundled with SP3 already.

Actually they confirmed that all sales of it will cease in June.

I'd link it here but I guess that would be a little bit dodgy on your whole 'illegal' bit, though it really is in that grey area.

It is due out on the 29th...but a simple Google will suffice if you want it now.

So you know I have a copy of XP with SP3 interegated. It runs programs faster than SP2 and boot up is pretty insane.
Completely worth it.
