AMP is right though, the military has already turned down similar items since the cost would be phenomenal if every soldier were to wear one. Perhaps if it was only for certain troops and certain circumstances?

I've seen quite a few things in both weaponry and protection considered the next generation of combat. The reality is that in order for it to be even considered as a viable option in the military it has to be a step forward and also cost efficient to say the least.
