Thankfully, Unicode Support will be on the HD & I think the 4.0 firmware update (which I'm betting will be on the HD when it gets released).

Also, it seems that you can purchase movies for your Zune when the HD comes out.

Turns out there's no Flash audio & video support, so no Pandora or YouTube....Also, it seems the Zune HD will be in 2 colors; Black & Silver.

I wonder how easy it'll be to change between songs & the volume...

Considering this is coming out in about a month, I'm really hoping Microsoft will announce a date & price soon....

Well, I do hope that MS would ante by releasing this thing outside the Americas. They should IMHO grab this opportunity while they still can as Creative doesn't have any touch-screen PMP that is up to this caliber (well they have the Zii Egg but they're still not sure if they should release it officially which IMHO they should if they want to stay in the PMP market).

Site's been updated.

Zune HD coming out Sept. 15th (6 days before my 18th B-day, WOO!) & the 16GB (Black) will cost $219.99 & the 32 GB (Silver) will be $289.99.

Considering I'll have about $110-ish by the end of the day, I'll be half way there! I'm thinking of getting the 32 GB so I can have a safety net if I hit 16 GB (plus I think I was around 6 GB & I know I'll be a bunch more when I get my Zune HD).

Just found out about the battery life. According to Engadget, it'll last 33 hours of life playing music with no wireless, up to 8.5 hours of video. it'll take 3 hours to charge from PC, 2 hours via AC adapter.

As for size, it'll be 2" wide, 4" tall, .35" thick, & weigh 2.6 ounces.

Here's a specs sheet, though the only difference between the 2 is the price, capacity, & color.

Man, after buying this, I don't think I'll have enough for Empress CS....Unless I decide on getting the 16GB (well, I think I was at 5 or 6GB when my old Zune got fried). Then I can use the extra $80 on that.

It looks competitive indeed. My only gripe though is that the color selection is tied with the capacity that you choose. Other than that, it seems pretty competitive (especially in battery life and the OLED screen).

I hope Apple are paying attention to this

What's the iPod Touch's screen made of?

Hopefully, it'll be strong glass, considering it's going to be pressed so many times (& there'll be people who'll press it TOO hard at times) & there's the good chance of it getting dropped, scratched & such.

I should probably see if I can get a warranty on it just in case.
