I have found KEYBOARDMANIA CONTROLLERS. Unfortunately, they come packaged with the original game in one big box and it's something like 6500 yen. Box is bigger/heavier too. Shipping would be about 5500 yen. The price on this "package" is $115 SHIPPED.

I have also found POP'N MUSIC ARCADE STYLE CONTROLLERS. They're 25000 yen. The price on these: $300 SHIPPED.

My name's Austin. I live in Japan, and I love skimming Japanese stores, putting stuff in boxes, and going to the post office. Famicom, SFC, N64, Saturn, PSX, PS2, DS, WSC...

Used games here are cheap, especially older games. I can get you games and systems, controllers, CDs, mass amounts of candy, anime, manga, collectibles, stuff ordered from Yahoo Auctions or Konamistyle, whatever. But if you want something from Konamistyle or Yahoo Auctions, look it up and find me the link first.

Here's how pricing works:

1) You tell me the maximum price you are willing to pay, and give me your word you will pay up to this amount.
2) I go out and buy the item, give you a picture of the receipt, and add a service charge of either 12% or $5 - whichever is higher.
3) You pay me this money, and an estimated shipping cost. A single game is about $4, various KOCs are about $35, ASCs are about $60. I'll give you a more detailed price later.

You give me this, and I'll ship it standard mail if it's small, or EMS by request or for large packages.

EDIT: I am following a few manga as well, so if I don't happen to get a hold of any of my other friends in Japan now I'll pester you to pick some up for me I also need a copy of Final Fantasy VI with box, I didn't end up picking it up before I left. You shouldn't have to pay more than 980 yen for it (more likely 680).

Assuming you mean Final Fantasy VI for SFC, I do remember seeing a copy without the box for 100 yen... I'll search for a boxed copy today.

SFC RPGs? Okay, sure. I already bought FEDA: The Emblem of Justice, Tales of Phantasia, Romancing SaGa 2 & 3, and Far East of Eden Zero for 100 yen apiece. Good games, but in Japanese of course. But, uh, they don't have boxes or booklets.

As for the KBM upgrade, I've never even SEEN a Keyboardmania machine except when I arrived in Tokyo, and f...

Wait. Give me 24 hours please. I saw a 6th Style AC machine a week or two ago, perhaps they deal with a third-party distributor? I'll go back and see what/if I can do anything.

Okay so I've decided.
I hear KBM controllers are common there but they tend to take a price hike here in the US? Is this true y/n ? If you can find one and they won't take a 100% price hike, I would be interested.

Other things if you can find them: Bemani keychains, and Pop'n 13 flyers. That's pretty much it >.>

PS: I'm aware what a KBM controller's worth, and Bemani keychains go for...um.. $10-$25-- flyers, although free, tend to go for $2.50-$5. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
