Default FS: Desktop Arcade v4 Pop'n AOC.

Like-new custom Desktop Arcade V4 Pop'n Music DASC controller up for grabs.

I urge you to check out http://desktoparcade.com/ for a better idea of the product. If, you know, you don't already know how goddamn sweet they are.

The unit has been used for about two months. I had to move recently, and due to my schedule, I haven't touched it in several weeks. NEVER been abused, or even used that much, for that matter.

The button art was hand-painted by Steve and company beneath each button, and there are (BRIGHT) LEDs in each button that light up when pressed.. all of them except the yellow buttons. However, they're all wired up, and all you would need to do is literally plug them in and you're good to go (I kind of rushed Steve and he shipped the unit before his shipment of yellow LEDs came in). They also have a separate kill switch if you want to play without the lights.

I welcome absolutely any questions. Payed over $260 for the controller; this is for the true enthusiast. It's an arcade perfect experience. The construction and button spacing is perfect.

Make me an offer. Aiming for at least $200 shipped, but will sell to the highest bidder. I'd go even lower if somebody from Florida would pick it up. Ask for pics.

More than welcome to contact me here, or at my personal e-mail, CrashCoarse (at) Gmail.com. I've got an AIM account, too -- DJ CrashCoarse.

Check my eBay account, linked to my e-mail -- mr_crashcoarse.

This is the only pic I have right now, right after pulling that beast out of the box:

The controller was extremely well cared for, cleaned after every few plays to make sure nothing sticks. Owned by an arcade technician, never mistreated, never really played anything above 30's.

Bump. Item located in Jacksonville, FL, and I'll knock some cash off for local pickup. Going to the lowest bidder -- I can't even play anymore where I'm living so this brand new V4 is just taking up space, begging to be played, slapped, smashed or whatever else you have in store for it.

The lowest bidder?

I'd toss in a bid, but it's better that I don't get the con until September and it's kind of a long time to hold it.

Is that spacing as messed up as the picture makes it look? The buttons look way too far apart...when I played on a Ransai a while back I noticed the same issue...it's weird.

I built my own ASC to arcade specs, and have spent some time on an arcade machine as well, playing up to 40s, and I couldn't really play on that Ransai at all...

I can't imagine it'd hurt you to learn on a controller with them further apart and then move to one with them closer, but going the other way definitely sucks.

I'm just curious, not suggesting that there's anything wrong with this particular controller, it just seems to be that all DAs and Ransais are like that. Either that or I'm going crazy lol

Yeah. I used to be the manager of Tilt, the arcade over there. We would wire my PS2 to a Pump It Up cabinet, and lay the controller across the top, by the screen -- perfect fit. A friend of mine has a Ransai, which is what got me into Pop'n -- then another good friend got the Pop'n KOC, and I got a Desktop Arcade, and.. well, this is the only one we'd use for serious play.

Don't remember if I mentioned the LED light kit, and it's BRIGHT. All except the yellows work -- I rushed Steve for the controller before he got the yellow LEDs in, so all you have to do is just plug them in, they're already wired. I was just lazy.

As for spacing issues, there are none. It's absolutely arcade perfect. From Steve:
"We use what we have determined to be arcade spacing (5.5" from "center of button to center of button") but from what I understand, Ransai used 5.75" for some of their controllers, and 5.5" for others... I have no idea why, but that's what I've heard/read over the years. I've plopped our controllers on top of Pop'n arcade machines and Konami ASCs, and have determined that the spacing is perfect."

I agree. <3

In two days I'll throw this on eBay; I'm givin' you guys the first option. Save me the hassle!

Bump; I really don't want to have to go through the trouble of listing this on eBay, so I'm trying one more time before I go that route.
