Default FS: pop'n music 8 arcade cabinet (animelo style)

Click pictures for detail.

I'm looking to sell a pop'n music 8 cabinet I have. It's an animelo style cabinet with an Animelo 2 marquee and coin door art, however it is running pop'n 8.

Kit is legit with proper discs and security dongle. I'm not sure why it does not have the proper marquee--that is how I received it. I assume that whoever upgraded it (obviously a long time ago) got an original style upgrade kit that would have come with the the wrong size/shape marquee and art. I found the security dongle for Animelo 2 in the cabinet but not the discs. In theory, you could play Animelo 2 if you could get the discs (probably easier to find than the dongle).

I'm asking $3600--which is the money I have in it. I am not trying to make money on this. I am simply trying to recover the money I have in it since I purchased another machine and do not need (or have space) for two.

I WILL entertain offers. "Creative" offers like non-cash items to cover a portion of the machine are not out of the question. Take a look at my profile to see other games I have and get an idea of my interests. Collectibles or arcade hardware/software for those games could make good bartering material.

EDIT: I spent some quality time with the cabinet over the weekend. I cleaned it up a little bit and took a bunch of pictures and video so people could see more detail to make a more informed purchase decision.

I have personally played on this machine and can attest that Mr. Ho has taken the time to make this pop'n arcade in good working order.

$4K shipped is a great buy and he has a lot of experience dealing with shipping companies.

I changed the offer a bit in the hope of spurring a little more interest.

I'm taking shipping out of the equation for now and dropping the suggested start price to $3600. I will still gladly help arrange shipping for you as a separate matter. Shipping will probably cost less than $400 price drop, so you stand to save some money right there. If you can pick it up yourself, you stand to save even more!

I'd also like to reiterate that I will entertain offers and that such offers do not have to be solely cash-based. I assure you that at this price I am already taking a loss on what I have in the cabinet. I'm paying the price for buying last year when both prices were higher AND shipping was MUCH higher. But I need to move this now and not then, so I'm resigned to work within the current conditions.

I spent some time this past weekend cleaning up and fixing the cabinet. I took a bunch of pictures and video that I have added to the original post.

I would really want this if I had the money right now.

I already have a Ransai:

And I also have all the PS2 games (and a few of the PS1, too).

What other merchandise are you talking about?

well... you said be creative so i tried but anyway... i only have little things like flyers, a roki keychain, a purse, a coin purse, some pins, those homemade score notepads, and maybe some other small things...

oh well

im just one of those disgruntled people that shouldve been at the tga auction and would certainly own a popn if she had been... but unfortunately i could not get out of the stuff i had to do that morning... so sad...

You did exactly what I was suggesting. It just happens that I already have what you were offering.

I might have some interest in the other stuff, but it probably wouldn't be worth a huge amount. At any rate, I welcome any further ideas or discussion you may have.

its ok, im just bummed that i didnt go to the auction... ugh. how many of these machines even exist in the united states? do we know?

i cant afford much over 2k right now anyway... but if i had been at the auction i know i wouldve fought and dove deeper into debt for it... haha. but yeah.. if i think of anything else... otherwise, good luck in selling it!

I'm afraid I can't take that much of a loss on the machine.

One other idea that may or may not be a possibility...

I don't know whether you'd be purchasing this for personal use or public placement. If it's the latter, we could do a revenue share to make up the difference. Just an idea...like I said, be creative!

I live near Indianapolis, IN.

I've investigated some sharing possibilities in the past, but most places around are either big chains that get their games through corporate or independents in an exclusive revenue sharing agreement with a distributor.

And even if I could get a machine into a location, placing one of these machines can be pretty tough. Pop'n has a following, of course, but not a mainstream one like DDR--and certainly not in smaller and medium markets. Most people who aren't already players aren't going to even try it (not to mention that being mostly it's a bit inaccessible being in mostly Japanese).

But I figured I'd throw that idea out there. Like I said before: Think Creatively! I don't want people to be shy with different ideas even if they may seem a little unorthodox.
