Default Interest Check:trading a DAO PE for a KASC

My DAO PE is in perfect condition so far. Keys are broken in, some of the LEDs inside are dead but they're easily replacable.

The turntable still suffers from missfiring problems but it can be fixed if you're willing to buy the turntable upgrade. Overall, it isn't too bad unless you're playing scratchy songs like checking you out and rauken.

I'd only ask that you pay shipping for it but that's it. I want to see if there are people who are willing to trade before I decide on what to do. Thanks!

even with the turntable issue, a dao PE is worth more than a KASC

Just saying

I have no clue how much it's worth. I'd assume the turntable issue is a big turn off for most people.

I sold mine for 380 months ago, exact controller, same problem.

The turntable issue is REALLY minor, and after playing for a while you don't even notice it. And when it does happen, its as simple as touching the turntable to make it stop.

Unless your controller is different >_> mine was fine (And the current owner will agree with me)

well turntable missfires happen alot now. It happens every several songs now and sometimes you'll lose combo even if it isn't your fault because the turntable miss fires. And when the turntable does missfire, it's really bad. You'll just hear the turntable sample being spammed extremely fast and it'll throw you off and will just piss you off.

other then that, the controller performs well.

Yeah I got that problem with the PE (I'm the current owner of Chemist's PE)

I think I know the problem too. I think it's got something to do with the soldering done to the TT and the connections for keys 1 and 2. (I notice that if I get a misfire, lightly pressing on key 1 makes the TT scroll down and key 2 makes it go up.) However it really is some trivial shit when you compare it to how horrible the DASC was made.

You're gonna be trading a perfect replication of the IIDX cab deck for something that was made using a steak knife.

And this is coming from a dude that plays a good 3-5 hours per day. I get misfires but it's really just a minor annoyance.

The KASC was made with a steak knife? news to me.

I've played on both a KASC and a DASC (his first double deck before the quality of his controllers went to shit) and they all had one thing in common and it was a better turntable in terms of feel and detection.

The DAO may look like the perfect replica, but it doesn't perform like one. It has not only turntable missfiring but it also has a bit of lag in terms of input.

I'm just picky as hell and I think I'd rather just get a KASC and replace the keys with arcade style keys for a better experience.

You're gonna take one hell of a kick in the teeth monetarily.

You could loosen the TT if it's bothering you that much. My TT is starting to get the grind sound so I know I need to open it up soon and clean out the TT well and get it all pretty again.

I need to stop rolling joints on it too. That's my problem haha.
