Marketplace Rating: 0 | Possible FS: bmIII cabinet I have a beatmaniaIII cabinet, and the only thing wrong is that there's no Firebeat kit inside. Ok, so that's a pretty big hurdle. Everything else is there and works. Condition is pretty good, but could use new keys and dusting.
I don't even really want to sell this, but I'm at the point where I need money for the important things in life like a car to get to my job.
This thing is a fucking monster so expect heug liek xbox shipping charges unless it's semi-local (can be put in a truck I think).
Also can maaaaaybe sell off pieces if the price is right. Most notably the 7th Mix marquee (flawless) and the 29" standard resolution monitor (I believe? No pattern generator to test).
Again, I'd rather find a kit for it, or convert it into EZ2DJ, but those both cost money and I have none.
Post offers/questions/etc in this thread plz.
PS I also have a DJMain board that I can get rid of. No HDD/cables, just the board, but it does have the ROMs for Core I think. (EDIT: I actually DO have a HDD, but it's blank, still no cable)

There's no Firebeat kit, so no game inside. I was going to try getting Beatmania (one) in there, but I still needed an I/O board and some cabling to even try (hence why I have the DJMain board).
Right now it's looking like I can get more dollars off selling parts, but I'll see what's up later.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | does the machine have the metal turntable centerpiece things? if so I'd like to buy one, or both if it has both.
edit: I'd also like to buy 7 keys w/switches [three gray and four white] if you're just going to start stripping parts. but I really want the turntable things.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Random info:
Buttons - they ARE Sanwas, but in pretty worn shape, the smoke keys are faded, and the plastic casings are worn down quite a bit. Pics tonight still.
TT Covers - yes they're on here, but somebody may have to link me directions to remove them safely. I'm not sure if there was supposed to be black ink on the etched parts, but if there was it's gone by now (though it doesn't look like there used to be)
DJMain - I apologize, but I may be mistaken and it could very well be "Club" chips on the board, I have terrible memory. They are labeled '933'. The hard drive I have is blank, but you could reimage it with a CHD or another hard drive. The ROMs may also be able to be reflashed if you have the proper equipment (or make your own if you have blanks). Also, there are NO cables or I/O board. You'd need a laptop-sized 40-pin IDE cable, which I haven't been able to find The board is absolutely pristine though.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | gtc, I talked to a friend of mine who used to be an arcade op for Games People Play, and he said to remove the TT center pieces you just need a really flat object and pry it up slowly and in a circular direction. [ie pry one part a little bit, move right, pry a little, move right, ect until you get all the way around, then keep going until it eventually comes off nice and smoothe]
if you can get them off I'm still interested in buying them both.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | As far as getting rid of the whole thing . . . personally I'd rather keep it and fix it later, but my gf and parents are on my case about owning this thing. I'm feeling more along the lines of "keep it," so unless there's a pretty nice offer for it, I'd rather do that.
Those asking about fixing it . . . you will either need a whole Firebeat chassis with game kit ($$$ and hard to find, I've tried. Dumbshit I bought this from sent his back to Japan), or some serious ghetto rigging. I had three possible routes . . . try wiring up beatmania to work in here (tough since I couldn't find board pinouts for DJMain and no I/O board), slap a MAME box in there running beatmania (much easier, I just haven't built the box), or turn it into EZ2DJ (though I couldn't find a HDD/kit, didn't bother redoing the control deck, it would need a $500 new monitor, plus PC to run it, etc). So there you have it.
Parts are easier to part with, as long as I could eventually replace them. Stuff like keys, marquee, TT covers, even the monitor itself. I'm not really up on parts prices though, so just post offers here and I'll consider them. (monitors run around $400 new, keys something like $14 new IIRC, TT plates no idea, marquees something like 75-100?). Again, iono.
Now some pics:
It's really close to 8' tall. Also 4'x4' footprint. Huge.
The marquee with sticker of legit-ness.
I started detailing the crap out of it, but that petered off. Here's one of the cleaned-up sides.
The platter.
The keys.
Powered on . . . everything in there works . . . monitor, amp, speakers, lights, power supply . . . just missing a game.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | Why would you ever want to part up something so beautiful?
It's just gonna leave huge piles of junk in your garage rather than something even feasibly salable. I wish I could pay to get it off your hands, but I'm not swimmin' in dollabillz at the moment.

I just have no money for the parts, and need money for other things very badly.
mangojoyride, that's a very handsome offer, I'll be in touch if this thing starts getting taken apart.
