was taking offers on it but looks like I'm getting something better now.

I traded in my lg f1-2225a9 for an lg p1-5001a9.

The deal was for the p1-5002a9, so I guess I don't have one of those anymore. The difference between the two models was supposed to be the operating system.

Unfortunately I didn't realize those bastards screwed me by giving me a refurbished one. Actually it's illegal to sell (or exchange) this laptop as new since it's refurbished, the value on my receipt is 1229 plus taxes (canadian). That's their selling price of a new one. Since it wasn't the right model they sold me a 1gb stick of ram for $65 (canadian ... lol) and gave me a free copy of xp pro (which has circular scratches on it and thus I'm stuck using xp home on this laptop).

All this because my original f1-2225a9 did not have xp pro, nor did it come with a gma 950, as advertised and printed on the receipt.

You'd think these guys would learn. LOL. How about some opinions people, cuz I'm thinking at this point I should just demand the best model, which means if I get that I'm not selling.... It's either that or they can pay for my flights between calgary and ontario to deal with the lawsuit that I will launch if they do not, because now they have screwed things up twice.

Had the only problem been the refurbished bit, maybe I would have bit the bullet and sold this laptop for a little less, but then I don't think I should have to do that so they can now get me something sick or pay up the ass in court.

I also noticed lg offers a 3 year warranty on this model laptop but my receipt says only 1 year warranty.

Could this store have fucked up any worse?

I picked out a nice new model more suitable towards fixing this disaster.

I'm gunna keep my memory stick that I paid extra for, and they can give me an s1-m002a9.

I saw on the receipt they had to make up a price called other valued at -$460 (yes minus). This is turning out to be quite funny -- anybody ever hear of anything like this EVER? LMAO holy shit it's like hitting gold twice now they owe me again, plus for the wasted time and expenses on this trip picking up the new one!! I <3 idiots (but only when I've put them in their place).

It's kind of annoying some of the keys have moved on the keyboard (ctrl and function buttons have decided to trade places for example), though the keyboard does feel alot nicer and the hinges on the screen are fatter (look alot less flimsy than the f1's)...

I might be tempted to sell the s1 when I get it, so I suppose I'll entertain offers on the new model (s1-m002a9) and when I get it I'll consider it (unless I go to court and try to take cash from them, they just increased their liability in the whole deal by botching up the transaction a second time in a row)... I'm thinking that maybe something with dvi or hdmi output would be good now so if I could flip that notebook I'll be set (but I have to carefully consider how much extra a notebook of equal or better specs with that will cost me).
