Marketplace Rating: 3 | WTB: IIDX/Pop'n AC upgrade kits Been a while since I asked here. I am looking for a kit to upgrade a IIDX 13 DistorteD and/or a Pop'n 14 Fever arcade machines to anything newer than those versions. Any necessary hardware needs to be included, legit + marquee included is highly preferred.
PM me with offers if you can help and we'll talk.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | Hahahaha um you have no idea about how this works do you.
For DJT and Empress you will need a new PCB, as well for anything above Fever you will need a new PCB. You can't just go "buy" either of these, and it sure as hell won't be legit. All the arcades in the U.S. with these upgrades installed are using Italian bootlegs, and those are almost as pricey as the real deal. For pop'n, expect to spend about 3,000USD on the new PCB and game, for IIDX probably a little more but I don't really know about IIDX as much.
Both of these were a lot easier to acquire this time last year when people were bootlegging. Right now there isn't anyone doing that so it's pretty safe to say you're not getting either of these anytime soon unless you get Japanese contacts. I might know of where you can get these but the disclaimer is that you're probably going to end up spending like 7 or 8 grand for both upgrades. Quote:

| Assuming Sirius runs on the same hardware as Empress, he still won't be able to go past Gold easily. | |

Marketplace Rating: 2 | Good luck finding the legit Bemani PC hardware. You'd almost be better off selling your machines, cutting your losses, and buying different ones. Would save you a lot of time and hassle. And for the Pop'n machine, you'd probably lose very little money.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | You can't find an upgrade for sale alone in Japan, except if you have a Konami service contract I guess.
About Pop'n, you may buy a Pop'n 15 machine for 250000 yens, and I guess you could arrange something complicated like get the PCB out of it, buy a Pop'n 16 HDD/key on YAJ for 10000 yens...and get a marquee when they show up...
I'm looking for such a PCB, with no luck so far.

Marketplace Rating: 3 | I'm very much aware about the new PCB's required for upgrade, as i've been searching for possible upgrades for the past year now.
Since nobody seems to even be selling bootleg kits anymore, I guess we're stuck with what we've got. Thanks anyway.

Then buy a used Adventure/Party for 3.5-4k, depending on what contacts you've got and what kind of shape it's in. You'd be spending 1k + for legit hardware anyways when it's all said and done.

As for the bootleg PCBs, there are still people making/selling them they're just not as easily accessible. I'm sure someone will pop up at some point to offer you one.

Sorry to burst your bubble but unless you bought them from Konami or wait until the next version comes out so you can buy on YHJ, it's most likely from Italy.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | Figured I'd post in here instead of starting a new thread. My favourite arcade just bought a nice Pop'n Adventure cab and we are looking for a Party upgrade to throw into it. If anyone has one for sale please name your price and I'll pass that along to the arcade owner. Thanks!

We've purchased whole machines from japan before (IE for pop'n 16) just to get the updates.
Also, there are no pop'n music bootlegs. Said italian distributor buys used machines and sells the kits out of them.
