4th Style scoring?

I just ordered 4th Style off play-asia (they acually had one, lucky me :p ). Anywho whats the eaisest way to tell what letter grade you got? Like whats the least money score needed for a A,AA,AAA? thanks.

if you enter your score on vj army it will tell you what grade you got

depending on difficulty i go by this method

160K-170K A

170k-180k AA

180k-200k AAA

as long as you arent playing LIGHT 7 this is pretty close

Anything above 155-160k is almost always an A (I've had some 156k B's before :<)

Anything above 175-180k is almost always a AA (175k A's :<)

Anything above 189k is always a AAA IIRC

188k can be AAA's a lot also, I think I've gotten one AAA that was at 185k but I forget which song. Or you could do your math and figure out the percentage of Just Greats and Greats and what not. 88% Just Greats for a AAA I believe?

And of course, it's really about Ex Score, not an absolute Just Great count. 83% Just Greats + 12% Greats => 89% Ex score.

188,000 is guaranteed AAA, 177,000 guaranteed AA, 166,000 Guaranteed A

Your score/money score is based upon how many Just Greats, Greats, Goods, Boos and Misses you accrue through a song. It should be obvious that JG's give you the most points, Greats give you slightly less points, and Goods give you very few points. Boos and Misses don't add onto your score. Generally a score of 186-188k and above is an AAA.

EX score is a bit different - EX score only counts your JG's and Greats, JG's being 2 points, Greats are 1 point, Goods, Boos, and Misses are worth nothing. I don't have 4th style and am not sure if there's a way to tell what your EX score is except for Nonstop/Expert courses?

188,000 with no misses is a AAA. If you get misses, you could wind up getting a AAA with a lower score. On some harder songs, I've gotten AAAs in the high 170s.

That was after bonuses though, which don't count. You need to take into account the score before the bonuses.

I always had a calculator with me for 3rd-5th Style if I really wanted to know.

Grading is the same as it is in every game, but the game doesn't grade you for individual songs. Expert Courses are graded on the same old x/9 scale (though regular arcade total grades only go up to A).
