Marketplace Rating: 2 | AAAs I've been wondering this.
Someone who is skilled enough at IIDX to get AAAs, and skilled enough at DDR to get AAAs, is it easier to get AAAs on IIDX or DDR? IIDX, IIRC, is a 95% Just great rate for a AAA, which would be like a AA on DDR, but the timing is much tighter. DDR is all perfects for a AAA, but timing is looser. One involves feet and the other fingers, so would it be easier to AAA IIDX stuff or DDR stuff?

The timing is so much looser in DDR for AAAs that it's really hard to compare the two.

It depends. For "advanced" players, though, it's probably easier to AAA easy songs more consistently in IIDX (since you're not penalized for a single-note screwup) but it's really easy for advanced DDR players to AAA things too.
I guess, in the end, it depends if you're talking about AAA'ing 3's or if you're talking about AAA'ing the hardest songs in the game.

Also, "your." | |

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Scores on IIDX differ from song to song. An AAA on DDR is almost always about 9,000,000 points. ... or is that AA? Hmm... Oh well.
I find it easier to AAA easier songs on IIDX as since there are less notes, I can concentrate more on timing than hitting notes.

You get an AAA if your EX score ([JGreats * 2] + [Greats]) is >= 8/9 of the possible EX points for the song. Money score has nothing to do with it. I've gotten a 181,000-point AAA before.

getting AAAs on either game requires skill and concentration, something i have very little of. DDR and IIDX AAAs are both hard to attain in their own ways. both games function differently and require you to do different things so i dont think u can really compare the two.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | To reiterate (rmz, edit my post if I'm wrong): DDR
AAA = full Perfect combo (or if you are playing a Non-Stop/Oni, full Marvelous combo)
Score (pre-SuperNOVA) = difficulty * 10,000,000 IIDX
EX Score = 2 * total number of notes.
JGreat (flashing red "Great") = 2 points
Great (yellow "Great") = 1 point. All other notes = 0 points.
AAA = at least 8/9 (or 88.88~%) of the total EX Score.
AA = between 7/9 (or 77.77~%) and 8/9 of the total EX Score.
A = between 6/9 and 7/9 of the total EX Score.
Non-expert course points = MAXIMUM of 200,000 per song no matter what song.
Meaning, in order to get a AAA, it's basically guaranteed that your Non-expert course points will always be at least high 180,000s.

190,000+, then there's no way you could of received a AA.

Marketplace Rating: 11 | THATS why AAA's seem to elude me. the highest ive ever gotten on a song is 186000. (not counting a light7 song i AAA'ed once)
i always end up with 176 to 181000, i guess i need to practice my accuracy a little more. not full comboing doesnt help me either...

Marketplace Rating: 5 | on-topic, DDR is a lot easier for me for some reason or another. largely the size of the timing window and the fact that everything isn't quite as offsync (in general) as it is between IIDX styles.
