AC sorting vs. CS Sorting

searched for threads but couldn't find anything, so here goes:

why are songs in Kana/Kanji are put last in ac versions, but in cs they are sorted according to their romanizations?

Because Konami didn't think people would take the time to think about this.

I dunno... think about what kind of kits they use for the PS2 to sort stuff out.

maybe because the encoding system of their OS is different. the AC version is built under Windows XP (characters encoded in shift-JTS or Unicode) while the CS is running in some kind of PS2 system.
