Just had to ask... Howcome your 6th AAA was on a [a] song? Why don't you go back and AAA all of the [N] songs? It's easy as piss. Or is that frowned upon by IIDX players or something? :S

I personally don't bother to go back to play [n] or even [h] songs since you don't improve timing by playing easy songs and AAAing them. You improve timing the fastest by playing hard songs and then going back to songs you are more comfortable with and recognizing the relative ease.

Interesting.

I can only get a high AA on Honey Punch [h].............but I can pass one or eight [h] always on a consistent basis (with random or without random)

Hmm..........

I guess different people do better (or worse) on different kinds of songs than others.

Could that explain why that is so?

I have only been playing for a few months.. I'm just doing it my own way. Now that I can do 9's and 10's.. I'm going through all the 9's and 10's.. Since it took me a relatively short time to get to this point, I have barely played anything below that level.. so if a song is level 9 or 10 on [a].. then that happens to be the only version i've played.. I'm not trying to go for overall AAA's right now, just pass higher levels. Posting them here just helps me keep track of them.. That Honey Punch AAA was a sightread as well, the timing is really easy for that song.

Like I've said before (or did I mention it yet, not yet?)

I'm someone who doesn't stick to one kind of arrangement.

I usually alternate between random and nonrandom (so I'm unbiased in terms of usage on both).

In any case

I played a bit in the the arcade a while ago......

I finally got to hard clear CROSSROAD [a] on random.......without a blinking gauge.

Even good news is that the lifebar never dropped below 50% and for bonus I got a result of A. This considering that I personally consider the nonrandom chart as chicken shit where this is not the case for all random arrangements that I get for this song (on another difficulty).

Indeed, I can say that I am so happy for it

Another accomplishment for me was getting my first ever AA result on DoLL [a].

Granted, I never really focused on grading & scoring on this song (as I accidentally activated random modifier for this song).

I didn't really expect that I'd get something that high for DoLL [a] (wherein I'm happy enough if I can get an A on it).

So yeah, I guess it's a happy play session for me.


Now, for my next arcade visit, I gotta work on Captivate Chikai [h].

And avoid blinking gauge (which always happens when I play it on random while on nonrandom, I'd never hit below the 40% mark).

I gotta work on that.

Well again, you do bring up an interesting point.

I guess in my case though, I do recognize that some songs will always be easier on nonrandom (and some are the opposite).
