Total Tokens: 1,632.48 Donate Tokens | Ahh... 12's, 12's, 12's. : / So it seems Its come that time where 11's are making themselves easier, and I can get about halfway through all of them. So I figure its time to consider some 12's.
However... - It seems that thread listing songs arranged by difficulty has been deleted or is completely missing from the forum... (anyone know why?) So I'm asking for some personal help. Its a shame I need to create a thread entirely asking for easy 12's, due to that thread going missing, as it was a brilliant and much helpful list. It should have been stickied imo.
So the question - without having to go through training mode, and or get destroyed by every 12 until I find a playable one, Can any vet players give me some suggestions of approachable 12s? what was the first 12 you guys cleared?
-sorry for thread #2354109287501924856 asking about what songs are doable, if anyone has that list of songs arranged by difficulty, would you please PM me it! : )

Any given style isn't going to have more than say 15, unless you're playing TROOPERS and count the black anothers, most of which you will probably want to avoid anyway (with the exceptions of spiral galaxy[b] and TROOPERS[b]). It doesn't really take that long just to play through every single 12 and get a pretty good idea of what songs are hard or not. If you forget later which ones were good, you can just check your letter grade. If it's bad, it was probably pretty hard.
Oh also Innocent Walls[H] and [A]. Those are your friends .

Good idea exy, i think thats just what I'll have to do really. Just get my ass stomped in pretty hard for a while.
What would you guys say is the overall easiest 12 list per style?
Distorted seems pretty epic, where as the gold 12's seem a bit more eapproachable. (aside from golden cross or fascination maxx)

I've only beaten the first five of those (and easy cleared Icarus), so this is coming from someone that is about the same skill level as you (as I still have trouble with a few of the harder 11s)

I'm at the same point and just play the 12s from HS-DJT (including black anothers) once a day. I have about 2/3 of the 11s cleared and breaking into the harder 12s is fucking impossible how do people do this shit.

Here's the level 12 songs that I cleared, maybe you can try them out:
A
Concertino in Blue
DUE TOMORROW
Fascination MAXX
gigadelic [H] [A]
ICARUS
Innocent Walls [H]
LASER CRUSTER
one or eight
Ristaccia
Scripted Connection⇒A mix
SOLID STATE SQUAD
The Least 100 sec
tripping contact
VANESSA
Kagonotori

After that was rage against usual.

I've also gotten 78% on A [a], 76% on gigadelic [a] and 72% on Go Beyond!! [a]. In my personal opinion Scream Squad is the easiest 12.
Got that? Great, now disregard it completely because everyone is different and your relative skills at various aspects of IIDX are going to be different to mine, meaning that an easy 12 for me could be a hard 12 for you and vice versa. This is why a ranked difficulty list is basically pointless because it will never apply to everyone. Quote:

Play every 12 and find out for yourself which you can do. For every attempt you will either clear the song, or at the very least get practice at difficult patterns. It's win-win for you.
I'm obviously not expecting very many people to clear OML [a] or Nageki [a] or whatever as their first 12 but nonetheless, give all the 12s a shot yourself. Don't take the lazy way out and try to go by other people's experiences because everyone's IIDX skill is different.

In a nutshell, it's to find a song that you can stand (to listen to, as in you can play it over and over) that is just outside or somewhat outside your comfort zone and play it over and over until you clear, hard clear, or improve your letter grade to what you want. For me, I remember whoring AA[A] for about an hour at a time for about a week. A week later I was retardedly better overall and started destroying scores easily. Then I moved on to GOLDEN CROSS[A] and so forth.
Different strokes for different folks, but I honestly think that forcing yourself to play a song that tires out your hands enough to make them burn can be beneficial. Especially if you're having trouble reading dense charts, it's a good idea just to plow through them. After you've done that, the easier 12s will be cake.

This is good for when you are training to get the feel for the rhythm of the song, but I always have done better on songs I haven't passed on the first try of the evening, than say the 50th.*
*Pluto and Do It Do It excepted.

I'd save Innocent Walls for later IMHO. Yet then again, this may apply differently to different people.......but at least you get the picture.

The only ways to really find out what songs are harder than others are to play them yourself or to watch videos of them to get a general look.
