Unlock Information
DISCLAIMER: The information below is based on the observations of players and what appears to be the appropriate unlock method for the unlockable content within the game. Nothing is considered 100% accurate, and we will have no idea what the actual guarenteed unlock methods are until Konami posts them on the website for the game. If you spot an inconsistency or something that is inaccurate, please politely let us know about it in the official discussion thread for the game (found here) and we will make the appropriate changes to this post.

Extra Stages:

• VANESSA: To unlock VANESSA as your extra stage, clear and achieve a grade of AA or better on all 3 of your songs in Standard mode without using random. Your songs must be ascending in difficulty, or if not, your last stage must be a AAA. The total of all difficulties of the songs you cleared will determine the highest difficulty you will be able to play VANESSA on:
  • If the sum of all your songs difficulties is 10 or more, you can play VANESSA on Normal.
  • If the sum of all your songs difficulties is 20 or more, you can play VANESSA on Hyper.
  • If the sum of all your songs difficulties is 30 or more, you can play VANESSA on Another.
• Fascination MAXX: Select and hard clear VANESSA as your Extra Stage in Standard mode with a grade of A or better on Another. Fascination MAXX will appear as your One More Extra Stage.
  
• V.I.P. Room: In Standard mode, clear all of your stages with a grade of A or better. You may use random, but your stages must be ascending in difficulty. If you do so, the VIP Room folder will appear as an option for your Extra Stage. When opened, it gives you access to the following 'rooms' and the song by the room's resident DJ:
  • SILVER ROOM: RECKLESS RAVE / GOLD RUSH / DJ YOSHITAKA-G feat. Michael a la mode
  • GOLD ROOM: HAPPY / Candy Galy / Risk Junk-G
  • PLATINUM ROOM: NU-NRG / 電人、暁に斃れる。/ L.E.D.-G
• Sense 2007: In Standard mode, enter the V.I.P. Room and hard clear each room's another with a grade of A or better to earn it's VIP card. Once you have all of the VIP cards, you will be given immediate access to the BLACK ROOM, and Sense 2007 will appear as your One More Extra Stage. Unlike DistorteD's Cardinal Gate system, however, failing a VIP room song will not revoke your VIP cards.

Unlockable Songs:

• Electrified: Clear Standard/Expert/Class Mode 1 time or play the ELECTRO course on any difficulty.
• PentaCube Gt.(AX-Ver.S.P.L.): Clear Standard/Expert/Class Mode 3 times or play the GLITTER course on any difficulty.
• THE DETONATOR: Clear Standard/Expert/Class Mode 5 times or play through the GLITTER course on any difficulty.
• The least 100 sec: In Standard Mode, achieve an extra stage using only the songs that are 5 key revivals. Doing so will make The least 100 sec playable as an Extra Stage. Play it to unlock it permanently.
• Beginning of life (THE GROUND PULSE MIX): Clear the beatmania course on any difficulty.
• SHOX: Clear the beatmania course on any difficulty.
• mnemoniq: Clear every song, including all other unlockable songs, on at least one difficulty. Easy clears and Assist clears (5 Keys/Autoscratch) count as being cleared.

Customization Options:
Interface Frame:

• Silver Frame: Enter the V.I.P. Room and choose the SILVER ROOM.
• Gold Frame: Enter the V.I.P. Room and choose the GOLD ROOM.
• Platinum Frame: Enter the V.I.P. Room and choose the PLATINUM ROOM.
• Black Frame: Obtain Sense 2007 as your One More Extra Stage, or clear the GAZILLIONAIRE course on any difficulty.
• Studded Frame: Play through all the new collaboration songs that are available at the start (Chain of Pain, Treasure x Star, SEQUENCE CAT, Guilt & Love and The Story Begins) or earn 1000 DJ points.

Turntable Icon:

• GOLD Icon: Obtain 500 DJ points.

Note Explosion:

• GOLD Explosion: Clear SP or DP 1-Dan.

To unlock a Class mode course, clear the course that preceeds it. (i.e. To unlock SP 9-Dan, clear SP 8-Dan.)

Miscellaneous:

• Regul-Speed: Regul-speed is present, but is only available in Training Mode. To use it, simply turn it on under Song Options.
• H-Random: To activate, enter Free mode and change difficulties while highlighting songs starting with the letters H, R, A then N. If done correctly, you will hear a sound and the text "CMD:H-RAN" will be displayed in the upper right. This has the same effect on S-Random as 'Samurai S-Random' from previous installments, and scores achieved while this is active will not be recorded.
• All-Scratch: To activate, enter Free mode and change difficulties while highlighting songs starting with the letters A, L, L, S, C then R. If done correctly, you will hear a sound and the text "CMD:ALL-SCR" will be displayed in the upper right. This will change S-Random into the All-Scratch modifier from DJ TROOPERS, shifting as many notes as possible into the scratch column, thus making the song nearly all scratches. Scores achieved while All-Scratch is active will not be recorded.
