* Read the stickies. Have a question about how to mod your IIDX controller? Want to know how to unlock the secret songs on the latest home release? Want to post an accomplishment? Most, if not all, of these common activities can be done right in the helpful collection of sticky threads at the top of the first page of the forum. Read the titles of each one to make sure you're not posting a question that has been answered in a sticky thread.

* Don't make pointless posts. This includes token whoring (posting garbage posts to accumulate tokens) or post whoring (posting just for the sake of posting with no real content). Token whores will (usually) get all of their tokens taken away and post whores may just get a warning unless they do it repeatedly. Perhaps the #1 thing that clogs up this board is pointless junk posts.

* Don't make duplicate threads. Use the forum search function to look for a thread relating to your topic. Most major topics have already been discussed at one time or another, so searching through old threads will let you answer your question yourself and will prevent the board from getting cluttered up.

* Don't post any "what's your favorite X" threads or the like. Put those in the Bemani Polls and Questions forum, where they belong.

* No piracy discussion. This includes posting links or asking about places to download MP3s, soundtracks, or copies of the games. If you're looking for videos, they can be found in the Bemanistyle Media Shop. If you want simfiles, go over to the Beatmania Simulation forum.

Torrents (or sites providing torrents), illegal programs, hacked games (includes but not limited to Bemani HDD discussion), and ISO discussion is prohibited. Distribution, offering services to copy/backup/burn, "PM/E-MAIL ME FOR TORRENTS/LINKS OR ISOS," helping with running Bemani HDD rips, or anything of the like is considered encouraging piracy and will not be tolerated.

* Be courteous. Being a jerk isn't going to make you any friends and likely won't make people want to answer your question. Nobody wants to see some frustrated 13-year-old mouthing off to everyone that addresses him.

* PM a moderator (myself or any of the global moderators) if you have a question about whether something is allowed or not.

* Don't make quote trees. The most you should be quoting is two posts, or three if you have a REALLY good reason to be doing so. Lately people have been quoting like seven or eight posts at once. Just cut out whatever's not relevant.

* This is not the simulation forum. Do not ask your questions about Stepmania, BMDX, where to get sim files, etc. This is not the forum to ask. Find the Beatmania Simulation forum.
