Default Anyone know how to get the PS2 to PC usb converter.....

To recognize the offical Konami IIDX controller. I recently bought the converter from "the source" and it can read my ddr mat, and my normal ps2 controller. It cant read the iidx one though, anyone know where I can get software so it can?

Absolutly nothing happens. It can read the ps2 controller and ddr mat fine, but the IIDX one works as if nothing happens at all.

Mine was the same way, then I fiddled with it and it worked.

Try fiddling with it a lot. Unplug it, plug it in, or plug the PS2 controller in, then really quickly unplug it and plug the KOC in. Try hitting it, the possiblilities are endless. I finly got mine to work using the 'fiddling' method.

Also you could try changing the order you plug them in. Some converters only work right if you plug in the controller into the converter and then plug the converter into the computer and vice versa.

The US KOCs suck, and even when they do work they are pretty problematic. What type of adapter are you using?

I hooked mine up with an EMS USB 2 (what I use for mats) - although a ~50ms lag is somewhat bearable when using a dance mat, its not really acceptable for a beatmania controller.

But yea, it worked, although the lag made stepmania feel very... laggy.

Cool An excellent alternative.

If USB doesn't work out for you then try buying yourself a Parallel Port Adapter

http://www.buynshop.com/productinfo/45/VG-PS-PS2PC4/

It might look like crap but I bought one and the reaction timing is even good enough for me... which means it is either instant or beyond my ability to see/notice it. I do speed runs on Super Metroid with this thing (42 min 73%) so it is definitely nice. I and my friends also use it with the Cobalt Flux and it works perfectly with SM and other things like this. Though the drivers run with Direct X (I believe)... but that shouldn't be a problem. Should you decide to purchase this (it's only $4, lol) then you should use PPJoy, as it is an excellent and easy to set up driver for this adapter.

http://wcarchive.cdrom.com/pub/simte...PPJoySetup.zip

Let me know if you have any luck with the USB or any questions about the Parallel Port Adapter or its drivers. I've used it for a long time so... .
