beatmania/beat stage question???

Hey, I just got my beatmania 4th mix cabinet, and now I realize its a Korean beat stage 4th mix cabinet. I looked up the hardware, and I don't believe there are any security chips, or flash carts.... so does anyone know if beat stage can upgrade to beatmania THE FINAL??? I believe everything should be compatible.

I'll do it tomorrow when theres light in my garage. I heard the board is a Konami GX board with a HDD, basically. Also, Flazh, are you able to locate any THE FINAL kits in Japan? I've found one here, but its kind of expensive.

yep, i need some photos to check if it is compatible, but i remember there won't be any problem upgrading the version at any cabinets from america though

I might be able to source one... I'll get back to you if I can. Probably best if you have a price range and a price to beat on the one you've found.

I believe the 847k chips, there are 10 of them, are the upgrade chips. I took a pic of the hdd and the boards. Theres the mainboard, and the one that the lights and whatnot are hooked upto. I can take clearer pics of anything you need, but hopefully these wll be enough. I need to clean the machine this weekend.
