Beatmania the final...

Hello all,

I have begun this endless pit of beatmania AC, and after purchasing a cabinet (full size), and 7 upgrade kits (4 - 7th mix, complete 1 and 2, Dreams) I finally found a final upgrade kit (link :Yahoo!Auction - ¥Ó¡¼¥È¥Þ¥Ë¥¢¡¡¥Õ¥¡¥¤¥Ê¥ë¡¡´ðÈ×¡¡beatmania¡¡¤ª¤Þ¤±É Õ¡ª

The problem is they are including all the inner panel items such as the power supply and a "bonus" - something for beatmania III - anyone know what it is?

The BMIII stuff I believe are just a couple overlays, no hardware. The hardware included in a boardset for BMI 5k with a THE FINAL kit, comes with the protective grating too (something my machine lacked). That is a great deal for the price. Even after shipping on that, you'd be getting a good deal. The metal plate on there looks lik eits for a BMI 5k cabinet too. The board isn't just the gameboard either, but the sound boards as well, which would be nice to have as a backup.

I would really love to get that for my cabinet, seeing as it contains all boards and cabling and everything, don't really care what mix, but I really can't afford it not knowing if it would even work on my machine.

Do you have a BMI or BMIII cab gtc? That isn't BMIII hardware.

Yes, it is BM1 hardware. The final kits show up every so often, I am still looking for one with a Marquee, and when I can make a good offensive on the price...

Right now it looks to be going higher and higher!

bmIII. I'm not too keen on dropping money on that because while I may be able to make it work, it's not guaranteed and I can't afford to take that loss.

Actually I'm probably just going to buy an ArcadeVGA card to run Pop'n or EZ2DJ. bmIII kits are insanely rare and I missed out on the one that popped up recently.

There was a 7th mix board that popped up recently on ebay. I know the story behind it too. It was the only BMIII in WA. I guess the owner messed it up during shipping, kept the hardware, and sent the cabinet to the dump. I was a little peeved after hearing it.

Well I am in Hawaii On the Island of kauai and the arcade here has Beatmania The FINAL I can get on my iPhone take pic and send to the forum or you in case if you want to see specs and stuff
