I'm pretty sure your best bet for finding an upgrade kit would be on ebay or the marketplace forums. Maybe Japanese Yahoo auctions?

I was lucky and just picked up on on yahoo japan auctions, 250 dollars + 55 in fees, plus 90 to get it here EMS = almost 400.00 dollars, and that was cheep - the last upgrade kit (almost 6 months ago) went for 425.00 dollars without a marquee!
BTW here is the one I won Yahoo!オークション - ★ビートマニア THE FINAL★ROM・HDD・プレート・取説
Marketplace here will most likely not have one, and ebay - good luck! The only way to really get one is to find a stripped cabinet - and that is how I got mine.
You could also try and find a 7th mix kit.
BTW the complete mix 2 kit can be worth some serious money also to some people here - BTW I love complete mix 2 also (in my machine now - final arrives tomorrow!)

Yeah, when I was searching for a THE FINAL kit, I found a few dealers who carried it, but it would have been at least $1000 going that route. I would just change YAJ occasionally. CM2 isn't that bad of mix either. | |

I just installed the final, it has over 160 songs (not including complete mix another remixs) of the about 200 in the series. At least most of my favorites are in the series!
You have to just keep looking!

There used to be an arcade within walking distance of my dorm which had Pop'n 14, IIDX 13, DDR Supernova, GF/DM v3... all when they were new of course... and of course, a BMIII: Final machine that I always played while I was waiting for the others to clear up.
I probably played more 5-key than I did IIDX, simply because it was cheaper (50 yen for 5 songs) and there was never a line for it.
Pretty much any song from BM 4th Mix and forward was fucking awesome and should be translated to IIDX. Pink Dream, Fire, Steel Cage, Daikenkai, Miracle Moon, Jack and Mark Get Busy, Mind Parasite, Acid Bomb, MGS2 Mission R, Overdoser Ambient Mix, Beginning of Life Whatever Remix... man, 5-key was awesome.
