No luck on vidding a pass yet.

Random gives you all the variety you need in a song. All the harder 12*s that I managed to pass, have at least 2-3 20 consecutive play runs on them. Quell, Nageki, Mei, etc etc.
51. Decreasing HS and increasing SUD+ doesn't help with reading the notes. HS and SUD+ are essentially the same exact thing. SUD+ is used to give you the feel of using a different speed than you can select, eg. HS 3 with a little SUD+ would be close to HS 3.2.
96. Why you would turn on Hard for a song you can't pass is beyond me. The only time I would agree with this, is if the song you can't pass has an ending that drops you down to the 70% range. If you can manage the rest of the song with 90-100% then sure, throw Hard on to see if you can make it past the ending. If you can't even make it half way through the song with a gauge about 10%, then Hard is pointless.

I can hard clear it rather well, but I will never normal clear it.

I played too much.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | So wait, I'm confused. I should be playing 11s/12s with Random? Most of the 11s I've cleared I'm fairly certain I couldn't do without a great Random, which is why I almost always play without it. Actually, the only 11 I know I've cleared with Random was Mint [a], and I only did it once.

You're either gonna get something just like the original chart.
Something absolutely piss easy compared to the original.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Haha! When I play on random I always seem to get really funky chords and things, the kind that aren't even fun to play. And I feel like if you clear something on Random, it's not completely legit? Because it's easier? I dunno.

I used to play a lot with random but I don't anymore. I mostly play for fun now, I feel like my right arm is what doesn't let me get better at the game

But if the pattern is complete BS and I know I'm not going to pass it for a very long time, I'll use random for the clear. I don't think it's "cheating", I mean, I'm still passing the song and all. It's not like I have easy or autoscratch on.

It's not like I have easy or autoscratch on. | I stopped playing on random when I changed from a USKOC to the DAO PEE. Since the TT is a little farther away and I kept my original playstyle it got a little harder to press the first key and scratch at the same time so I did it to get used to that and I have been playing that way. I actually like to play on random sometimes makes a song that you have played many many times interesting in a way.

Sometimes playing on Hard is good, too, since it challenges you to...not fail.

But anyway, back on topic. The most frustrating thing for me is playing a song one day and getting +193 and the next day getting -150 on that same song/chart. When I get a new high score on something it takes me roughly a month to beat it again, especially if I've already played it a bunch. Quite discouraging, really.
