Default which beatmania IIDX controller should i buy?

so hi guys . I'm new to the beatmania IIDX series so i wanted to test it out. I'm really fascinated with beatmania IIDX and would really love to try it. The problem is, which controllers I should get, preferably a good one. And is it too late to play beatmania IIDX now? and is the beatmania IIDX series in ps2 are going to stop until the 13th Style DistorteD or they will release another version? thanks

Buy the normal Konami controller, available on play-asia or with the BMUS bundle.

Why would it be too late to play now?

They are working on another home version right now.

Just buy any playstation to USB adapter, but they tend to cause a little lag.

The thing with buying a DAO is, what happens if you end up not wanting to play IIDX? That's a lot of invested money right there.

There are a few on play-asia as well, but one of the better ones (and I know someone will disagree with me on this) is the EMS USB2. I haven't had issues with it anyway, aside from the slight lag.

I heard the Rave Discman has an awesome feel to it, and is also arcade perfect. It's under $10 too!

I'd say the best would be a US KOC, and the one after that should be a JP KOC. They're both pretty equal in the short run, but after a year or two or whatnot, the JP KOC keys will start to stick, despite what you do to it (in my personal experience).

You should hold out on the DJ DAO, ASC, or the Desktop Arcade until you start playing more. Fundamentals before cosmetics.

And yeah, Rave Discman. Don't listen to these evil people.

Fix'd

Anyway, a simple clean of the JKOC keys makes it perfect again.
