This news is very pleasing! I'm lookin forward to this.

Imo, HS looks like the coolest style. Though I can't say from first hand experience, never playing on an arcade machine. Damn MN.

Having old songs gives you a choose of whether you would like to play the new songs or play one of the older songs with the new interface that has many new function which it's original style didn't. This becomes useful if they put songs like fun or checking you out because of sudden+ which was not in the original style of these songs. Plus having more songs makes it feel more like an arcade cause you have a choose of what you want ranging from all difficulty's. Also, if there was only new songs, we would only get around 55-60 songs at most as oppose to having almost or equal to 90 songs. Old songs also helps newbies get into the game which is always a good thing.

Now my opinion on this is I CAN"T FUCKING WAIT FOR THIS TO COME OUT SO I CAN FINALLY OWN POLLINOESIS[A] OR SOMETHING!!!!!!!!

Edit: And the person below me proved my point.

I do like the interface...it's so pretty and bright.

Tell that to V.

But, I don't mind because I'm just starting out and it's like the whole thing is new to me; playing some of the repeating songs is great since the older styles are getting less in number.

Previews are okay... I got to work on No.13 ahead of time, giving me more time to work on all of 10th's other stupid hard songs when it came out. So that worked out. But are they absolutely necessary? Nah.

I'll put money down that Checking You Out and Fun are on Happy Sky.

Here's why:

Each IIDX style prominantly includes songs from 3 styles before it, or at least in the more previous versions.

Example: RED had repeats from 5th style and 8th style. 5-8-11. The 8th Course is a good example of this, as well as Estella, Five Regrets, Outer Wall, and Rislim.

Example: 10th had repeats from 4th style and 7th style. Xenon, Zero One, and Love Me Do and Voltage are good examples.

So logically, Happy Sky should have repeats from 6th Style and Ninth Style. I wouldn't doubt Rugged Ash being on there too, although they might hold that off until DistorteD

Some of the songs on Happy Sky are psycho. The only way they could top RED in terms of quality is if they changed it to be on a Dual-Layer DVD and revived a massive amount of songs that haven't appeared since 8th style.

I hated RED. The revival songs were all bad, as well as most of the new ones. The only thing that saved it were the awsome 8's, as well as having the best CS songs in IIDX. Also, I know I'll get bashed for this, but RED's theme isn't that great. It's pretty cool for awhile because it's red, and thats never been done before, but it becomes an eyesore after awhile. Happy Sky is beautiful, and DistorteD is just on a whole different level.

SKY interface > DD interface IMO. But again, just my opinion.

And I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your RED experience.

Hey, as long as it has Gigadelic and Go Berzerk it could look like paintmania for all I care.

I just thought of this,

Do think Happy sky will have Happy Wedding as one of the returning songs since Red had Red Nikita? Having Hi-5 for that song is almost a must.

I disagree, because I like to see songs on older, crusty looking styles ported over to a sexy version like this. Reincarnation on 10 and north on red. I like the trend. aside from making older styles pointless then its a good deal.

fun = no

fun was taken out of arcade IIDX after 9th or 10th(Can't remember D: ), so it's a good bet that it won't be in CS versions anymore.

And I kind of feel spoilerish about preview songs, myself. I don't play any of the RED previews in RED itself. They just seem too played out from 8th. But, that's just me.

PS. Babelfishing Konami's site pretty much makes the explanation legible.

Quote:
The PS2 edition "beatmaniaIIDX 12 HAPPY SKY which presently is in the midst of producing (temporary)" with,
Beforehand we would like to try to be able to select the rival from the rival data which was recorded inside the game, that we think.
Then, we collect the score data from everyone of the user.

The data which you record is in operation ' presently with the amusement facility of entire country
With "beatmaniaIIDX 13 DistorteD", e-AMUSEMENT PASS is used,
In PS2 edition "beatmaniaIIDX 12 HAPPY SKY" music of recording schedule (object tune) the score which you play ' with it becomes.
In addition, you apply, the register of KONAMI ID becomes necessary.
We inform recording schedule tune in the next few days, but
First in arcade edition beatmaniaIIDX 13 DistorteD please play the music "of the HAPPY SKY" folder.

Presently it is the continuing resolution, concerning collection number of people, but
In case of applicant large number it is the schedule which you make pulling out selection.
In addition it is the schedule which records the score data at 2006 8 end of the month point in time.

Future we guide application concerning details. We wait for the application of everyone.
(As for contents of the above-mentioned plan collection there are times when it is modified. Beforehand acknowledgement. )
Translation: Bitches, we be makin' 12th style. We want to put rival data on the game though. Play Happy Sky songs on Distorted(BEST USE YO KONAMI ID, NUKKUHZ) and we might add it on the game. But, YO it depends on how many people we get. We'll stop recording data at the end of August. Bitches. PS this is subject to change.

Konami is very street-wise.
