Basically I'm tired of seeing new people post in other threads and noticed we didn't really have a thread like this made.

I have a question, Since I'm using an American PS2 with Swap Magic and all, I can still save my stuff on my Memory card, yes? And, since I am so familiar to changing speeds, should I just jump right in the game and start changing the speeds? XD Or is that something I have to get into?

You can start with it and set the high speed you are the most comfortable with.
For you memory card yes it works.

Well I haven't even took the game out the box. ]: So I really don't know what works with what. If speeds doesn't work with beginner mode then I'm screwed.. I heard it's much easier to see the notes if it's set at a current speed... But this is only what I'm hearing around the forums. ^^ But okay~ Sounds great!
And okay! Thanks for the help! :]

Their songlists are not beginner friendly at all. Start with Happy Sky or Gold.
Honestly though, your best bet is to hold off on importing for awhile and start with BMUS.

I disagree, I think BMUS would just give a bad impression of the franchise, BMUS is a terrible addition, and shouldn't ever even be spoken of.
Start with GOLD.
if you can't wait... There's a nifty little thing called .iso image files of which you can download - that work great with swap magic - but you didn't hear that from me : P:P:P

If you really want to start with a good style try hunting down a copy of 9th in the market place, compared to the later styles the learning curve isn't as steep and there are still challenging songs on it too. Though if you really want to get better you should play different styles to get adjusted to other songs.

Think economically and not with your fangayisms.

- I also added to my post that he can DOWNLOAD the .iso file. and use that. (to test the waters, everyone should of course purchase the game, which i do) - which wouldn't cost anymore then a BMUS controller either - as that is all you would need.

Even then its about the same price with a high chance of breaking a ps2 (Which is what happened to me.)
I would get bmus to see how you feel about it. I officially started on bmus but now play japanese versions. Just remember that the japanese games are better.
