No, but it's alot easier to press the JKOC keys than the USKOC keys especially after modding.

The USKOC keys have alot more of a travel to make in order to register a press than a JKOC.

Then again I'm a bad person to ask about comparison because my JKOC is modded so heavily that you can breathe on the keys and they will register.

Hahaa that's great! Yeah it feels like I have to press quite a while for keys to register (and it's prone to a partial press and not registering urrggg). My friend wants to get a second controller for 2P so I should make him get the JKOC. It'd make an interesting comparison if anything.

Haha sounds like mine. Mine almost felt stock until just under a year ago when one of my keys finally started sticking, then I just added some more cardboard and it's exactly as you described :P

Daos are sexy, once I start working I'm probably going to get a Real Edition Single. I was going to get one last year but my financial situation kind of fell apart :/ A full doubles Real Edition would be amazing but I can't really warrant spending that much.

the PEE and the RES are both fine for a singles player. One of my best friends has a PEE that I've played on a fair amount, good build quality, nothing wrong with it. The shipping is expensive because they're very big, heavy as shit, and coming halfway around the world.

If you're just starting out I'm going to strongly advise against getting a dao, or any ASC. You're not going to be able to tell the difference at this point and it won't really help you any, you just need to get a grasp on the game. If you hold off now it'll be that much nicer when you finally do get one.

I think any high level player would agree with me that an ASC isn't really worth it until you're into at least the high 10s low 11s.

After the proceeds of selling my PEE I only had to pay 250 bucks out of pocket for mine. It's the most amazing controller I have ever seen and is fucking huge like 5 xboxes

Als I know is I don`t think I can customize it from the machine and I can only play the DJ level evaluation thing on beginner, and i`m definitely not a beginner :`( . How do I customize??

There's a website where you can edit your e-amuse info. I'm not sure what the URL is but I'm sure there's someone here that can help you with it.

I wish I had the problem of having to figure out how e-amuse worked :P

I have the hardest time doing anything on keys 1 through 3 with my left hand.
Also, I hate quick streams of notes/jacks right before scratches.

Maybe switch your key 1 and 3 fingers to your left index and middle if there isn't much of key 2 in that section or if there's a lot of scratches hit key 3 with your right thumb.

Yay first post!
So, I have a question about controllers. I'm probably not going to drop for a PS2, so I'll mostly be playing via emulators, simulators, etc. on PC. My question is: Is the $80.00 ps2 controller on Play-asia (I have a ps2/usb converter) worth the money? Is there a way for me to get a cheaper one that works? Is Ebay a safe place to look? Are there other 3rd party controllers?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I've been using Be-pachi and a keyboard, key setup zxcv and sdf. I suck, bad, but then I sucked at osu! when I first started...

edit2: Also, I can't seem to find a link for Lunatic Rave 2 *wink wink*

LunaticRave 2 Official Site

for future reference any questions you have about the simulators should be directed to that subforum instead of here

this is exactly what I did and I couldn't have said it better. I kind of hit a wall with 11's and wasn't able to clear them on my USKOC any more, so thats when I purchased an FP7-2 from dao.

Although be prepared, the turntable distance from key's is a little wider as its to arcade specs, so don't get to locked into a play style- play comfortably and try to keep your fingers loose. It took me about a month and a regression down to low 10's and 9's until I worked my way back up to the low 12 level. But now I can say im much better then a KOC would have ever let me get. And my timing increased by probably double.

(my koc keys weren't ever modded, only the TT)
