Default Beatmania IIDX "Standard" cabinet...

Until second mix a standard cabinet was offered for IIDX - the one used in the 6th style videos on 6th style CS. I am considering building a replica of that rare cabinet, but I at least need a photograph of the front, assuming the rest is similar to my beatmania cab.

Thanks...

Actually, the "DX" behind "Beatmania II" was introduced with the deluxe cabinet - It was originally just "Beatmania II." The BMII cabinet was pretty much a 5-key machine with two extra keys for each player, flipped turntables, 4 halogen lights up top, a widescreen monitor, and the Effector knobs up front. The DX cabinet introduced the new arcade spacing between the keys and turntable.

edit: this is a pic of Beatstage II, which was esentially the same thing as BMII (Beatstage II was the Korean release of the game).

Wow! Thank You!!!

The one thing that I am considering is using a RE for the key panel, instead of using the smaller configuration, but I love the small cabinet design...

The RE is so close to the actual design I think it would be better...

just the counter being wider shouldnt be a problem. plus you'll be following the more widespread dx cabinet spacing.
