Marketplace Rating: 0 | Beatmania PSX questions I have my PSX laying around and Ive been thinking about getting into trying some Beatmania 5key games. Of course, my PSX is US and I will need to find some way of loading my backups onto it, but I don't want to buy a modchip or solder anything.
I saw two products: http://modchipstore.com/Playstation-...-V2-16136.html http://modchipstore.com/Breaker-Pro-...isc-16172.html
Would any of these work on the PSX to load a burned CD-ROM with a Beatmania game on it? And would these also work with the Append discs or do I have to stick with the solid console releases?
Oh and if I get this working, I'll need a DJ Station Pro, haha

if you're just starting out, I suggest you look for this one: http://blog.othree.net/log/2005/05/0...Controller.png
It's a lot cheaper, and the buttons are easier to press.

But, it seems a handful songs on 6th Mix are corrupted or something (I did multiple burns and it still happens). During gameplay, the music stops, the notes scroll half as fast, and the disc keeps searching. Also, on Best Hits, after you pass Arcade Mode and the Ending loads with the credits, it never loads fully and you are stuck with a blank screen. Sounds of Tokyo works perfect though. I'm not sure on why these things happen (Im mad that Disabled The FLAW Long Version wont play), but I doubt I'll be able to fix them.

If you have the originals, play them, if not, buy them. they go for around $10-$30 now - depending on what mix you want.
Disable the flaw - long version....best song on 6th/core rmx

For the record, I'll mention how I swap: Homemade spring made from a twist tie to keep the button pressed down. Loading Gameshark CDX with the lid open. When it says to, I exchange the Gameshark disc with a retail US game and I lift and drop the spring mechanism so the game starts to load (after hitting Start Game with No Codes). It starts to spin slow for a while, then fast for a second or so, then slow for a split second, and right THERE is when I quickly swap the US disc with my burned copy. Then the burned disc proceeds to load.
I guess I will buy 6th Mix then, and maybe Best Hits. My Sounds of Tokyo copy is fine on the burned copy so I dont need to buy that.
EDIT: 10-30 bucks? You sure? This eBay auction is selling for over 60 dollars including shipping.

No hard feelings | No, actually I bought the ASCII controller for about 40 bucks on eBay. That was a couple hours ago so I dont have it yet.
I'm planning on buying 6th Mix but the only one on eBay is like 60 bucks from some overpriced eBay Store.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Just a quick 5-key related question,
I just bought a copy of 6th + core and I know that there is a way to separate the lanes IIDX style (makes sense since you can flip the turntable position to the left side ) I can't find the option for it.
