I agree that bmUS really isnt that bad at all. I have 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and RED, but i still come back to it when i want to play certain songs that arent on any of those games (Mobo*Moga) or when i want to play a different set of songs without having to change discs. As an entry game, i think it was fine. I just don't know if America received it well, but i dont think a straight copy of 10th would have done much better.

Taking long sabbaticals from playing IIDX is the worst thing one can do if they want to get better.

Not always. Sometimes a break is good.

Same. Some people say Pop'n makes them worse at IIDX though.

Mileage varies, I guess.

i dunno but personally playing alot of 14key has made me worse at 7 key songs as far is complex patterns
guess my brain has gotten used to simpler patterns spanned across 14 keys

I guess it starts mattering less anyway, since 14k is so much fun.

I find that I do much better on 7 Keys after a run on 14 (after I adjust a bit), because my left hand can scratch and do notes together much better after it's got in a warmup period on 14.

My left hand is a pile of leaky loose meat as far as I'm concerned when I attempt 14key.

You said that playing right side should increase my skill Cstar, especially if I played on handed with my left hand?

I don't know what CStar says, but that helps for me, anyway.

Man, it's like, I can't even fathom doing songs harder than 3 or 4 stars.

It really feels like I'm starting over from scratch, haha, I feel so nub.

I tried a few songs on RED, and its mind numbingly hard to play one handed with your weaker arm. Haha, practice makes perfect I guess.

Yeah, 14k makes me n00bish too. But that's part of the fun, since it's like picking up IIDX all over again.
