AI only got the Troopers upgrade kit, it wasn't a brand new machine. The kit's are a hell of a lot easier to get than the machine themselves, and I'd have to go with Richard's answer... I guess you just gotta know people.

Anybody else think DJT's songlist is better then GOLD's? I mean, GOLD has some good tunes, but atleast for me, it seems like every other song on DJT is awesome. | |

i dunno, i havent really loved any songlist since DistorteD. to me DD seemed complete. GOLD and DJT had an over abundance of really sub-par songs that i didnt enjoy at all (soldier's waltz, do it do it, dreaming sweetness to name a few). id hate to admit it, but im not looking forward to the next installment if this trend continues... | |

DJ TROOPERS introduced some good songs, it did "continue" the typical Suzaku, kors k, TERRA/jun with (insert female vocalist here), and Ryu* typical line of songs, since it seems like they add at least one song per style now (CONTRACT, VANESSA, Anisakis; Power of Love, FIRE FIRE, Now and Forever/Rising in the Sun/evergreen; So Fabulous!!, Second Heaven, Dazzlin' Darlin; Why did you go away, CROSSROAD, REMINISCENCE).
DJ TROOPERS has one of the best interfaces, to me at least. DistorteD was only okay; GOLD's was pretty good, but TROOPERS is very nice, too (maybe because I like green so much).
DJ TROOPERS had a nice share of unlockable songs (Machiko no Uta and State Of The Art), but the boss songs were a little bland to me; none of them really left an impact like GOLD's VIP ROOM/VANESSA, or DistorteD's Cardinal Gate. The only ones I really liked were Time To Air, MENDES, and ICARUS.
But in terms of song list for me: GOLD > HS/DJ TROOPERS (they're tied to me) > DistorteD > RED (the only good ones were AGEHA and The Hope of Tomorrow :x) | |

GOLD's boss songs were the weakest to me, among the games that have more than 3 boss songs. (DD, GOLD, DJT) I really didn't enjoy the VIP ROOM songs much, Candy Galy and Denjin, akatsuki ni taoreru in particular.
DJT's is pretty solid (save the 4 crossover boss songs), except for Do it!! Do it!!. | |

Based on what I've seen in DJT, I think it's pretty solid. Lots of trance and my SOTA kinda shocked (as well as Cyborg Akemi doing some vocals in Japanese). Not to mention Mendes and Anisakis as well as that Cannibal Coast song (which IMHO is underrated). Of course, didn't like too much of the harder techno stuff. Digitank System was so-so (though the chart was fun), Deep Strikers was just so-so............and ICARUS WAS CRAP!!!
So yeah, other than a few misses, the songlist is pretty solid.
So if I were to rank the newer-gen versions (those that use Windows XP):
GOLD>DJT>HS>RED>DD>10>9
Two cents.

Every game has its pros and cons... but I haven't even played DJT, RED, 10th, and 9th (But I choose some of the songs theere on our IIDX Gold AC Machine)yet but I've listened to some of its songs... some are good, some are not...
I agree on IIDX Gold having weak boss songs but the other songs included are very good but the game itself is epic and the interface is awesome...
Looking forward for our DJT AC Machine... since our IIDX Gold is Version Beat Free.
