Default Best Way to Mod BMUS Controller

I've been searching around, and there's a ton of different ways to mod the BMUS controller. I've already done the wax paper turntable mod, but my biggest concern is to mod my keys so they don't sound like hell when I press them. It'd also be nicer to not push them as hard.

Thanks for your help!

What do you mean by them 'sounding like hell'? They have a much, much more hollow and quieter sound than the JP KOC... o_O

yea its really not nessecary to mod the keys. Konami fixed the problem with the BMUS KOC.

If it means anything... I can clear flashing 7s in 9th and 8s in RED with unmodded keys and the wax-paper modded TT... and my KOC hasn't spazzed out yet.

Well, one note I will make is that the keys do need to be pushed in farther than the original KOC and my Desktop Arcade ASC. Given how the rubber plungers are setup I don't know if there is a way to alter that aspect of the US KOC.

The level of sink that the keys have when pressed is about as equal as to arcade keys, which is one of the things QA at KDEA pushed for when the controller was being made, IIRC.

Yeah, I noticed that, too.....
The keys on the BMUS controller sink in just a smidge more, and are just the slightest hint softer than on an actual Beatmania/IIDX machine.

Doesn't make much of a difference, though, if you ask me.
I guess you just have to press just the slightest bit harder
than you would at the arcade, and I don't think that difference
is actually big enough to make a sizable difference.

I'm sure my opinion's gotta count for SOMETHING, too...
I score As on most 8s, and AAs on a lot of 7s.....
Maybe it would make a difference to AAA players on seizure-flashing songs.

The BMUS controller design is genius.
I'm gonna go pick up another one so I can get into 14K play sometime after finals.
