the 11-12 wall is much better IMO despite what some people think. The 11s teaches you the reading skills you need to take on the 12s far better than the 10-11 wall.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | I'm hanging out somewhere in the middle of the 11s right now (about 30-40% of them cleared). I'd kinda have to agree with Velius, though. Aside from a few of the easier 11s, most 11s look ridiculously complex on a level that 10s don't even touch. 12s are at least somewhat comprehensible to me right now (barring the kaiden-level ones), I just don't have the skill to pass them yet. One step at a time..

My current biggest wall, as it were, the 10-11 wall. I'd say overall I can beat 40% of the 10s and slowly progressing through the rest. The closest I can come to beating an 11 is Nageki No Ki[H] and I only can't beat that because I suck at continuous scales.

Marketplace Rating: 2 | 7*, 12* and 2nd 12* walls are the worst.
7* just seemed to be a large gap from 5s and 6s and I didn't progress easily. Maybe it was because I only had BMUS to tackle it on. Regardless, it took me a few months (technically a year if you count the time I never touched the game)
11* wasn't all that bad. After being able to pass most 10s, I managed to get past the 11* wall in about 2 months.
12* wall sucked and took somewhere around 4-6 months.
2nd 12 is impossible im not even trying anymore.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | 10 wall: Keep playing 10s and try some easier 11s.
11 wall: Play harder tens and most 11s.
12 wall: Play 11s and simpler 12. Try hard-clearing 10s.
Second 12 wall: Hard clear difficult 11s and keep at those 12s.
Yet another Goddamn 12 wall: Hard clear intermediate 12s and keep trying to clear those asshole 12s. After failing a song 20 times in a row, fail it yet another 20 times because you now have the brain of a mule.
[b] 12s in DJT CS: Weep quietly to yourself. Nothing will help you. NOTHING.

Marketplace Rating: 3 | to the guy stuck at the 9* wall of Doubles:
Go back and try to hard clear and bump scores on easier songs. right now you need to increase your comprehension and ability to read 16 columns at once and not miss stuff. Once you get over that wall, you're at some of the funnest charts in IIDX (its like playing a 5 or 6 with each hand, its glorious)
I'm not sure if I have really cleared the 10 wall or not... I can pass tons of 9*s (not every last one i've played, but getting there), about 10 10*s... setsugekka, sequence cat, photongenic, kakumei, mei (nonran i clear it every time, without problems), katchoufouusetsu, contract, among others... but there are still some 'easy' 10s I can't clear, like FIRE FIRE. (note: i've cleared about half the ones i've played a couple times.)
When can one say confidently that they've cleared the 10 wall? Cause right now it doesn't feel like I'm at a wall at all, just... a steep hill, with lots of places to get footholds and progress.

Especially the end, if you get a good one. The end is what makes it a 10, I think, the rest of it is more of a 9? You may be able to Hard Clear it, too, if the end is what breaks you.

I don't think fire fire is that weird. I like the chart the way it is. I do agree with you that the song is more like a 9 with exception of the ending.
