Maybe you have one of the smaller Daos or something but really ASC makes the game harder (as far as hitting keys 1+2+3 or any combo of those + TT)...

...

Then I hit the I cant pass any 12s wall. I broke that fairly easy by just trying to hard clear more and more 11s.
No, my Dao is Arcade dimensions.
I learned to play on a 5key machine though, and my first IIDX game was Troopers AC, and only after that did I get a KOC.
I think it's definitely easier to register the turntable on a KOC, but it physically feels better on an ASC. My right hand used to hurt when I scratched on the KOC, but with the Dao it feels more natural I guess.
This would agree with what you said about the ASC being more "fun" maybe?

...

Also back on topic, I think that hard clearing 11s is exactly what's helping me out of the first 12* wall. Last week all I did was try to hard clear a bunch of 11s, both with random and without, and today I cleared two more 12s! It sort of teaches you to be more accurate, because you have to be to hard clear, y'know? It was really exciting, too, because it's more intense haha.

Here's what happened when I did Digitank System[A] on Normal (chart-wise) and Mirror. Score-wise, it's an 11 point difference (with Mirror being the higher score). On the other hand. . .

Normal:

Mirror:

As a bonus, here's how I use Hard Mode as a crutch:

This was the first time I passed Spiral Galaxy[A] on DJTCS.

Well, that's very interesting, but I've changed my opinion on the whole matter. I recently cleared TROOPERS [a], and couldn't believe it, because it should be way out of my league. As a friend of mine suggested, I tried it on Mirror, and ended with 2%. Quite a big difference. I don't think Digitank System is extreme enough to be a "great" example, but TROOPERS, oh my god, it's like night and day! It's kind of funny how much of a difference which side the TT is on can make.

Oh god Troopers another is so fun when you nail it lol.

But yeah, I really don't think Digitank System is a great example there since you can very easily just one-hand all the notes during the scratches. It is, however, fun as hell to play and an awesome song.

I'm currently at a 9/10/11 wall of sorts. On Hyper, I can pass almost any 9 (except for Troopers, god damn there are some hard ass 9's), but only maybe half of the 10's. (I have passed all four Cardinal Gates!) On Another, I have trouble with maybe a little under 2/3 of the 9's, and can only do a handful of 10's. Also, I only have passed one 11, very recently - Digitank System [A].

The reason for this is most probably that I play one-handed. But I'm chugging away at it, and I'm SLOWLY passing more songs.

Troopers (the song), eh? I never did attempt the Another. Once I'm feeling better, I'll give it a shot (as I want to see how stupid the [b] chart is).

I guess the Mirror/Normal argument stands, but I chose the wrong song. My apologies.
