that's my current setup. i can't play during the day sometimes because the florida sun glares into the room, making it impossible to see half of the screen.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | hs banner is free during the day (even when it rains!), but it's usually where 1P scratch and 1st white key is, or it's in the middle of the entire notechart depending on what time of day it is. i dont know of many towels that can do that!
the space that all the stuff is in actually used to be a linen closet. since it's in a loft area, and there was space, my parents put a couch in so that i have somewhere to play videogames. the catch was i had to put in everything except electricity, so i wired it for cat5e like the rest of the house, ran speaker cable to the back of the couch if i put in surround sound, and i got a tv cable in there so it's wired up nicely. oddly enough i got the atari and 3D0 for free, and they work.
here's a pic of the other part of the room http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...3/HPIM1388.jpg
i'm guessing the entertainment system in the wall cost a few hundred (maybe $200 not including tv) since there was already space there, and we had most of the supplies because we did that right when we moved in and repaired the house. most people wonder how we were able to get the tv to fit in that space. we just rotate it, and it's slim enough to pull out sideways.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | you can have the best or worst setup in the world, but one thing that really makes it a great experience is component cables. picture is clear, sharp, and just plain beautiful. if your tv supports it, the gamestore has component cables for 14 bucks, and it's well worth it.

Ha! Figured it out. Sharp 24 inch flat panel tube with S-video and component hookup, but the component's for my dvd player, so I just have the games in S-vid. I like the setup, but I'm using a fold-up chair, and it's not comfortable leaning towards the keys. If there's any suggestions, give me a few.

You need to upload the picture onto a host like photobucket, and then just paste the '[img]' thing into your post.
I expect someone will make this clearer

as for it being uncomfortable, i sit on a couch and i have a broken chair that i use as a table. the good thing is that i can lower it if it's too high. you could get some boxes or something, and get it to knee level. here's a pic http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...0n3/14keys.jpg
Ironing board FTW! I have to try that out sometime.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | I finally got my Christmas present to me all set up! (Notice the bow on the top corner.)
Mitsubishi WD-Y57. I got it for about $1300 after rebate and discount.
Thank goodness for the delay adjustment in Happy Sky CS. I currently have it set for -4. Guitar Hero II autocalibration says I have a delay of about 35ms. Of course that is going progressive out, so it might actually be a bit higher with IIDX.

It's a decent setup. 27" console TV, PS2 hooked up using S-vid (no component on this oldie). X-box and GC are also hooked up the same way. The coffee table's on wheels, which is nice if I feel like playing DDR or Pump.
