er, does this go into simulation?

soundwise, the Final at my local arcade only has bass working. this means that i have to pray the tech support guy's in a good enough mood to turn the volume up to IIDX levels so i can hear stuff. i don't think they're going to fix it ever, but i wanna ask what can be done out of curiousity.

i have zero idea on arcade tech, please tell me all you guys know.

you cant really do much if you dont have access to the machine, or arcade tech's that feel like fixing problems. I would just call the manager and let them know that it needs to be fixed.

Also I am sort of confused on what you are asking here... I am not sure if you are saying its a problem with the actual sound system, or its just low volume, and what was with IIDX in the middle? lol

nah i meant i was digging for info on the dj-main boards inside. maybe it'll help me figure out what to do if i get a lookie.

its the soundsystem, nothing out from the bar or top speakers, lol.

about IIDX, the troopers machine is easily the loudest thing in the city arcade.

are the buttons on the 5key cabs the same as the ones on new IIDX cabs?

and of course troopers is going to be the loudest, it has a superior sound system compared to other arcade games (including past beatmania releases).

er no, i meant only the speakers below the controls are working - can't hear mid-high range.

thats going to be a internal problem, and you will have to talk to a arcade tech, or manager to fix it. Sometimes you just need to clean the cabinet, or something gets disconnected (not as much as a problem). Or the speakers are blown, and if thats the case, you wont be able to fix it.

Lol, why not? It's not hard to replace a speaker, unless they're moulded into the cab somehow?

while the tech fiddles with the innards, i see 2 boards labeled 'LOW' and 'MID' where the volume knobs are. was there a 'HIGH' or something there before?

There is one sound board connected to the cabinet, which is connected to two small sound amplifiers, a high and a low, both with independent knobs to adjust. If the upper and middle speakers are not working you can test the board itself by plugging the board into a reciever and some speakers to see if things work (that is how I record from my machine). If that does not work then their could be ea problem with the amplifier, board, chipset, etc. I can take pics inside the machine if you need it...

necrobumping here for a request. the arcade's gone now, along with the BM cab (and pop'n and mambo a go go ), but i'm still interested in how it looks inside, particularly the turntable mech. (do tell me if i'm supposed to pm though.)
