Sorry guys, life kinda took charge and I haven't been able to finish up the new FAQ. I'm kinda behind on the OMES and all that jazz, but I'll try to get that stuff nailed down once I get back from my training.
ver 3 in maybe Dec? I dunno. I'll try my best.

kimcicle, could any of us help with finishing the FAQ, or is it really a one-person job? I have all the IIDX CS mixes but none of the 5key ones, so I'm not sure how much assistance I can offer... nonetheless, if there IS something, let us know.

1. the first three songs must be played with HARD on, and at least AA's must be achieved. the fouth song must still have HARD on, and you must get an AAA. NO RANDOM NO RANDOM.
2. the first two stages must be at least level 7 anothers.
3. the last stage must be at least a a level 10 another.
4. after satisfying the following so far, the result screen of the third stage should be the SCREAM SQUAD unlock result screen. with this, the song select screen directly takes you to SCREAM SQUAD on the cursor. this song must be played on another to get to the OMES.

3rd Style - Right on the money. Good assessment of the game.
4th Style - Not expensive to buy anymore at all. I also think 4th Style's timing, visually, differs from every other style but I could be wrong.
5th Style - RED's Beginner Mode is much easier now. I don't think the timing on 5th Style is bad at all, but again I could be wrong. "Unlockable songs not available in Beginner Mode" is irrelevent too.
6th Style - Again, great assessment.
7th Style - Master's Mode is pretty stupid, but again, why else would you play it other than Abyss THR? Another good point of 7th is that it's the first style where you don't have to unlock everything through Arcade Mode.
8th Style - Sakura's special hi-speed should be mentioned in 'other' - it's not really a big deal.
9th Style - Fine.
10th Style - I don't find 10th's timing to be similar to 9th's at all. One con is that Light7, 7Key, and... heck, all of the notecharts in this game are kind of straining. Lots of jackhammers, weird patterns, and speed changes. I think this is the most difficult CS style.
IIDX RED - Nothing. I'll leave the pros and cons up to other people for now.

I know that IIDX is the big hit in the series now and the others ceased 4 years ago, but I was wondering if there was any way you guys could expand the wiki to include information about the original beatmania and beatmania III since they also have some really nice songs and I've never even played beatmania. I guess it's disappointing to me that there's hardly any information on the original beatmania or beatmania III (most of the scarce information that can be found is in Japanese and is a nightmare to navigate) and I'm sure there are others that feel this way as well.

I can't really see wikis for other Bemani games being added unless VJA expands into those realms (which is pretty unlikely given Remy's criteria for integrating a game into the site).

I'm not a IIDX player, but I asked this because I have two mp3s of the song, one with a slight "stop", and the other that still flows after the 190bpm part.

All I had to use was an ironing board (ghetto stand) but it seemed to me that playing sitting down isn't all that beneficial to my technique as I couldn't play certain patterns that I have no problems with sitting down. Is there a noteable difference or am I just not adapted to standing up play yet?

That really restrains your arms.

I used to play koc on my lap, but when i tried to play in arcade(sitting on chair) while the table is at a height higher than where I put my koc..
My third and fourth finger of my left hand seems not to be able to press as accurate as when the koc is on my lap..
Try this.. move your third and fourth finger repeatly.. like 3, 4, 3, 4, 3, 4, etc...
try to do this when your hand is down your lap.. and try it again when you move your hand to the height around your chest..

as for the height of the controller...
KOC on lap is a good height, and depending on how you're sitting, this might mimic the height of the arcade machine's controller table. but personally i can't go back to this playing style because scratch-happy songs make the controller slide off your lap.
KOC on carpet floor is my current style. i hunch over, so i guess i'll be a hunchback iidx player in many a year, but scratching doesnt move the controller very much. controller is quite lower than playing with it on your lap or the machine, but the controller not moving is pretty important.
try a higher stool at AI. that might help some. im just too used to the white stool. thats my chair as long as i play iidx. ill buy one to take to japan.

Do you use your left hand's pinky??
Im really frustrated when there are notes on key 5 6 7 + scratch, especially like those 676767 stuff..
Can you pass mei another yet eldvine??

This is really annoying. I'd appreciate a response. Thanks.
