Are there any plans underway to update the comparative version list to include RED, Happy Sky and DistorteD? I know this is probably a futile hope, but I'd love to cut down on the "I'm new! Which style should I buy?" posts that seem to come every month like clockwork.

I hope this is the right place to post this, it relates to my Japanese KOC. I've had it for 7 months now and i haven't modded it at all so far because there was no need. Recently however the game has started reading my 1 turntable turn as 2, which it was not doing last month.

Does this mean I need to use that "Adding a Slipmat To Your IIDX Controller" tutorial linked in the contoller FAQ?

EDIT: Never mind. I tried it anyway and it has stopped my problem.

What ever you do.

Do not put the old griptape from your skateboard on your tt.
It will feel good, grippy, and accurate, but the day you decided, "Hey! I'm gonna play for a long ass time!" you feel griptape thumb(or in this case, pinky) and boy, does it suck.

if i turn my tt too fast it will register like 9-10 times with and without slipmats. any ideas? pm me if you have a solution thnx in advance

Is your turntable really slippery? Maybe you should tighten up the screw in the back of the turntable if that works. Other than that, you might have a faulty controller.

If anyone has any suggestions/corrections feel free to make them, since I've been pretty out of it for a while. I played less than 5 hours of DD so that one especially might use some work.

This might sound really dumb, but I can't seem to get away from using only my index and middle fingers on each hand, and I'm having trouble passing anything over 6's on Hyper. Anytime I try to experiment with how I use my fingers, I start messing up, and going back to using only those 4. What hand position would you guys recommend?

If you're playing 1p, learn to be comfortable reading 6/7's without having to flinch thrust the keys with a mass amount of force. That'll just wear you out. Use your right thumb. Place it on 5 and try songs with it.

Don't experiment out of no where, go in to the song prepared experimenting. Because your mind's in track like, 'Okay, I'm in focus- lets try this.' and it screws it all up.

When developing the skill, keep your thumb on 5 and play Happy Angel, if its available to you. That's a good song to break in the new found skill.

It's not that I've got a problem reading the chart, it's that I've got a problem getting over to keys when there's 3+ keys on both rows needing to be hit at the same time. When you say "flinch thrust," the image that comes to my mind is someone playing DDR on Light mode while returning to the center after every note, and hesitating when they're not sure what to do. That's not really what I'm doing.

I've only got Beatmania US, a Beatmania III 7th at the arcade, and whatever sims I've got in BPM right now. I'll try to get the Happy Angel sim. Would it help if I got a video of how I'm hitting the keys?

Well, what I mean by reading without the flinch is like read it and not fling your wrists up and down. Play IIDX the same way you'd type on a keyboard. After you can do that, your read "timing" so to say will process a little faster and you can throw your thumb in there with the regular wrist flinging.

I had a question about the controller completely losing response all together, sometimes when I play none of the keys response nor does start or select work.

Could it be that the plug has faulty wiring? Or possible a break?
