Does it just happen for a short period of time? Does unplugging it/plugging it back in help?

I had that problem a few times, then it just kind of went away. IIRC I'm still using that controller and it doesn't happen anymore.

EDIT: I was using a different PS2 back then, but the problem stopped before my old PS2 died so I don't think the port was the problem.

Yeah, plugging/unplugging does work, but I just wonder if there was anything really wrong with it, I think it may have to do with my setup, and I think it slightly comes unplug.

Microswitches yes, I don't know about the keys though, you may have to route out the old buttons and do some other mods on the key panel to make it work.

Can you elaborate on what you meant by routing the buttons.

Meaning that you have to cut out the original keys using a router or other similar hand tool.

Are there any particular preferences versus first player and second player? I've noticed a lot of the videos for the harder songs on Another tend to be on the second player (though I could just be watching the same players). It seems to me that a right handed person might prefer to handle the turntable with his right hand, but when I tried to switch from 1st to 2nd player, as expected, my performance dipped down quite a few notches. I'm only doing 4s and a few 5s, so it wouldn't be too much effort to learn again from the 2nd player side, but I thought I'd ask someone that has experience in that regard.

Just play however you feel comfortable.

It doesn't particularly bother me either way. It felt pretty normal on the 2nd player side, outside of a few habits I have from playing on the 1st player side (namely just troubles with the TT). I could probably get up to 4 or so in a few hours practice, but I just thought I'd ask people that play in Another whether it seems to make a difference.
