Controller question/US release question.

I read through the faqs and searched couldnt find anything about this, so sorry if it has been asked a million times.


Do the 7 button iidx controllers work with the older 5 button ps1 games?

Im just getting into beatmania and i figured id buy the US version bundle just so i can get a controller get started, and then if i enjoyed it id import the japanese titles (which im sure i would enjoy the songs more)

I was just hoping the controller would work for all the releases.


The last question is, is the US release decent? I cant seem to find much about it and its song list.

It's okay but most people will tell you that it really sucks in comparison to the JP releases (which it does). If it's your only option, it's okay, but if at all possible do yourself a favor and get the import games, the songlists are bigger, better, they have better features and interfaces that won't make your eyes bleed, etc.
