in the local arcade they have iidx happysky and i was wondering if anyone could recommend me any songs which are easy to play/yet challanging and can boost my skills up
even better if they sounds nice =]

Aside from that, just start playing to the rankings. Work up through the 1s and things, because really, only a goddamn prodigy is going to advance in IIDX without practice. | |

Play any song really. Just don't try to play 7k when you can't pass a 1* on L7. When you do this, you may miss important stuff and you have a harder time progessing.
So, general rule, L7 is there to help not to be shuned upon. You can do that once your well into 7k of course :p

are you in CA?
well i think people should play at home first before arcade to save some money and time but anything under lvl 5 (on IIDX red and below, i'm not familiar with the new HS song lvls) should be easy enough for someone new to the game | |

Start 14k once you have a very good general grasp of 7key, and feel comfortable playing one-handed as well, since you one-hand with 14keys. | |

For example, there are a handful of level 8s on L7 but there are also several 2s and 3s on 7K. Just play by difficulty, not necessarily by strictly light or 7k (now called Normal and Hyper)

Beginner's Mode is a good place to start, once you can clear the hardest stuff in that mode then I suggest jumping to L7/Normal.

well how about some personal preferences of songs? like V or xepher or Sigsig, ive played a few song but i donno which ones sound good or not,
no offense to anyone who likes "moon race" but i didnt really like it...sounds..very wierd....
