Which CS IIDX to get?

I used to play IIDX often a couple years ago, and now I'm looking to get back into it. I own 7th and 10th style, and I was wondering, which CS release should I get? I've never played any of the new ones.

i think alot of people would suggest gold, but i think DD's songlist was alot better. Gold was awesome, but there werent that many songs that were really really good in my opinion. so yea i would say DD or Red

Depends on what kind of music you like. I personally would recommend GOLD. First off, its the prettiest mix visually. They decided to add a lot of bright flashy stuff to the interfaces, it is far more elegant than the others. Despite the fact that Mei (which i LOVE) is in both HS and DD and not in Gold, there is a lot of good stuff there, but the style of music is a little different from other IIDX.

There is a lot of stuff full of piano, quite a few rock songs, lots of newer-style trance. It seems to be less classically IIDX, but probably more accessible overall. While hardcore bemani fans don't seem to like it as well, I would absolutely recommend GOLD as a first style for anyone new. So if you find your 7th and 10th styles to be a little too video-game-y, if you want the most beautiful mix with more accessible music with a cleaner sound and superior synthesizers, I absolutely recommend GOLD. If you love your classic Bemani, are looking for some great revivals as well as instant classics, go for Red, Happy Sky, or DistorteD.

When I asked the same question a little while ago, most people mentioned the last three CS releases. I picked up Gold (still haven't tried it as I'm waiting on my Dao) and I'm planning to get DistorteD in a month or so...

I like DD and Red as super personal favorites. It has the best music all around.
